I have to say I am pretty damn pleased with my first order (Sugar Cane type III black jeans) from Self Edge.  Placed order on Saturday afternoon and my jeans arrived this morning (Monday).  Lightning fast shipping and the measurements were right on the money.  Truly fantastic!!!

Thanks for the order!  Glad you were able to get the jeans that quickly, we do our best to ship same day for all orders.

curious about sizing on the 40BSPs, I have a pair of the 30BSP in size 29 and it fits perfectly everywhere except below the knees. Do you think I'd be good in a size 30 or 31 for the 40BSPs?

If you're a size 29 in the 30BSP i'd say a 30 in the 40bsp would be perfect after a hot soak.

Thanks man!  Any idea where else I can find them?  I love my old pair.  Or do you at least know what happened?  Would love to track some down.

3sixteen's Chill-Out Drawstring Shorts & Breezy Days Madras Short Sleeve Shirts!
This weekend we're releasing a special capsule collection produced by 3sixteen for warmer locations around the world. This collection was inspired by the need for breathable shirts and comfortable shorts around Self Edge Mexico's location in San Jose del Cabo.
3sixteen have produced two indigo-dyed cotton madras short sleeve shirts, both with coconut fiber buttons and sewn-in 1.5" folded up arm cuffs.
Along with these two shirts we have a completely new item from 3sixteen, the Chill-Out shorts feature a Japanese woven cotton fabric and a drawstring hidden on the inside of the waistband so there's no need for a belt if you choose to tighten the waist with the drawstring. These shorts are available in both khaki and olive.
All four of these items are being released in our online store and all 5 of our retail stores on Saturday, May 27th in limited numbers.

Stevenson Overall Co. Pop-Up Shop at Self Edge New York & Launch Party
We are proud to announce the first Stevenson Overall Co. Pop-Up Shop held outside of Japan, being hosted at Self Edge New York from June 3rd to 9th. Stevenson will have their entire summer collection for sale including some items never sold outside of Japan. In attendance from Japan will be Atsu Tagaya, Stevenson's founder and principal designer, his staff, and Zip Stevenson. We will be hosting a launch party on Saturday, June 3rd, from 5pm to 9pm complete with drinks, music, and Stevenson's entire summer collection.
In the words of Atsu Tagaya from Stevenson Overall Company... The concept of the brand is to make very high quality clothing to be optionally worn at work (by types that are lucky enough to be able to wear what they want to work) or casually after work and on the weekends. In the eyes of this Japanese designer, this is true American Casual Style.
Inspired by Zip Stevenson's garment collection and vintage garment knowledge Stevenson Overall Company produces their collections by examining early functional clothing (workwear, military, & outdoor) from the late 1800's to the 1960's and takes the best ideas in them and mixes them with their own to make garments that can be worn today with a nod to yesterday. Stevenson produces the garments from the best materials available in Japan in collaboration with the best factories in the business.
We're excited to show the entire summer collection at Self Edge New York and hope to see many of you at the launch party on June 3rd.
Saturday, June 3rd, 5pm – 9pm

Kiya, do you still have the measurement on Roy Buck-Tite size 34? I used to own a pair and now trying to determine which size I should go for on SG2109.

Sorry, we no longer have the measurements of those.  But both the Buck-Tite and the 2109 jean run true to size, I would buy the same size you have in the Roy jean.

Flat Head Loopwheeled Blank T-Shirts, Dobby Shirts, & SE05BSP Slim Tapered Jean Restock
Flat Head makes some of the best blank t-shirts in the world.  They've just released a new version of their loopwheeled blank t-shirts and have made them in red, white, and black.  These new versions are a little soften than the past ones and age really well over time.  With regular wear you start to see the horizontal weave pattern which the gravity fed loopwheeling machine leaves in the tubular fabric.
We've also received a new long sleeve dobby woven shirt and a full restock of the popular slim tapered SE05BSP jean.  All these items are available now at all Self Edge stores.

3sixteen 16.5oz "Caustic Wave" Denim Type III Modified Jacket & Summer Shirts
One of the best selling denim jackets of the past few years has been 3sixteen’s modified Type III.  We’re happy to announce that it’s now being made in a traditional indigo warp / natural weft denim using the 16.5oz Caustic Wave 40BSP denim.  This jacket has cord lined hand pockets and cuffs, a slightly extended length so you can wear with untucked shirts easily, and slightly longer sleeves than 3sixteen's normal Type III jackets.
This jacket will be available at all of our stores on Saturday June 10th and in our online store at 10am (PST) the same day.
Along with this jacket we've received two new 3sixteen shirts, one is a short sleeve with a muted bandana print and the other is a color blocked indigo long sleeve shirt.

Not usually a big 3Sixteen guy but that jacket looks pretty sweet.
Just what I need to be buying, a 16 oz. denim jacket when it's in the mid 90's.
Maybe one will stick around until the fall.

Chicote, those look seriously incredible. Have you worn them out to the point where they can't be worn regularly anymore, or is there still life in the sole?

I've constantly been tempted to buy a pair of the black ones, but since my Fh sneakers are a similar enough style and 4+ years later are still going strong, I can't justify it yet (though I have a bunch of shoes I rotate so mine last basically forever.)

there's loads of life in the whole shoe, traction isn't great anymore but i've only found it to be an issue trying to get up muddy / snowy / icy hills in squamish. going around seattle, no problem. i reckon as long as i don't skate in them too much they'll hold up another year, perhaps more. in any case, i'm going to wear them as long as possible before switching to this new pair.

The Iron Heart Overdyed Modified Type III Jacket, 11oz Super Heavy T-Shirts, & Short Sleeve Denim Shirt
We have the long awaited new "All-Season" Iron Heart Overdyed Denim Jacket, releasing this Saturday. This version comes in a modified length, hand pockets added for functionality, and made of a 14.5oz base denim which now weighs almost 16oz after the overdye process.
Along with the new Iron Heart overdyed jacket we have the heaviest t-shirts we've ever seen from any brand.  These are made of a custom 11oz fabric which is soft to the touch and has a weave pattern which is visible due to the heft of the yarns used.  These are available in black or white and the only external branding is a small red "W" woven by the hem-line of the t-shirt.
We've also received a new short sleeve denim shirt, perfect for when you still need your denim fix during the warmer months of the year.
The tees and denim shirt are available now, the denim jacket is being released at all of our stores on Saturday, June 17th and in our online store at 9am (PST) the same day.

Sugar Cane's Type II Okinawa Denim Jacket & Jean Restocks
Sugar Cane's Type II denim jacket is one of the best versions of this style jacket you can find. We've had them take their traditional Type II and do a small run in their 50/50 cotton/sugarcane fiber "Okinawa" denim.  These come unsanforized and unwashed, so with a light soak these will age better than most denim jackets which have either been sanforized or factory rinsed.  These Okinawa denim jackets are available now in small numbers at all of our stores.
Along with the new Okinawa Type II jacket we've received a full restock of all of Sugar Cane's indigo and black jeans.

They're not super slim, they're just slightly slimmed down traditional fatigue pants, except with some amazing details.

I would go down 1 size from your regular Japanese jean sizing, the inseams are 33".

Flat Head x Real Japan Blues Left Hand Twill Jeans & Stamina Slurp Shirts
The new Flat Head x Real Japan Blues have just landed. These are made of an original 14oz left hand twill denim and come in a straight tapered fit. These have the most impressive front pocket opening stitching we’ve ever seen, two runs of double-needle stitching timed just right so the needle hits the same spot every time it goes into the denim. We had this run specially made for us with a mellow back pocket, the regular run made for other stores have a leather inlay in the back pocket stitching design.
We've also received Flat Head's newest fabric developed for shirts.  The Stamina Slurp fabrics are a medium weight (10oz) woven shirting fabric with massive character done in shades of red and blue, both which pop when seen in person.  These are done up in a new short sleeve shirt pattern with a very cool new collar design.
Along with these new items we've received a fresh restock of the SE05BSP slim tapered jean.

Self Edge Website 4.0 Update
We've just updated our website so that all elements of it work better, faster, and are more efficient for you. We also have some new features we've been working on such as client submitted product photographs, a better Jean Finder, Paypal Express checkout, a better/faster mobile UI, and downloadable archives of our past lookbooks.
Size charts are very important to both us and our clients. With our new site refresh we've remeasured every jean we carry so the measurements are as accurate as they can be. Also, from now on we will be remeasuring every jean which we receive a restock of so that you can know that the measurements on our site are as close as possible to the jean you're receiving.
We're very excited about a new photo uploading tool where you can upload worn photos of your jeans, shirts, jackets, or leather belts/wallets. With this new tool we're building a large database of user submitted fit photographs and worn-in denim or leather photos to be displayed on that product's page. You can upload directly from a smart phone or from your computer, just go to the product page you'd like to add a photo to and upload your shots.
Our popular Jean Finder too has now been tweaked to work even better than before giving you more accurate results for a jean that matches the measurements you're looking for.
Many other small tweaks have been made to our site so that every element of it works better and faster for you, we hope you like the changes we've made.
Within the next week we'll also be announcing a new music related feature, stay tuned!

Worn probably 10-12 times, barely any fades. For those who've been around these forums for a long time, they remember how awesome these jeans were when they first came out.
Retail was $375 USD. Looking for $185 USD OBO.
Best way to contact me is [email protected]
      Waist: 31.5"
      Inseam: 31.5"
      Thigh: 11"
      Hem: 7.5"

One of the most popular jeans we've carried since we opened was the first collaboration we did with Dry Bones and Superfuture two years ago. We've decided to expand on the theme of a forum based jean with a bigger project including Styleforum and a 22oz denim that Dry Bones have woven for this jean.

The SEXDBXSXS12 jean has been produced by Dry Bones, one of Japan's longest running vintage Americana style denim manufacturers. The jean is made up of a rope-dyed 22oz unsanforized selvedge denim consisting of a combination of Texas & San Joaquin Valley cotton fibers creating a rigid denim that's slightly hairy, but not slubby, because we requested that the denim not be singed and calendered. The indigo dyed yarn has a sulfur top to create a super dark indigo color that crocks fairly easily with normal wear. The jean has heavy-weight hickory striped pocket bags, military grade green rear pocket linings, coin pocket selvedge, cotton poly-core stitch, hidden rivets, and two leather patches. The Superfuture patch was designed by JimmyC of Superfuture and the Styleforum patch was designed by Brian SD, you can easily remove one of the two patches leaving the one you like better. The fit is a slim fit with with a bit of taper and a medium rise, graded to look great in all sizes.

Superfuture, a website dedicated to the finer points of shopping, traveling, garments, and more was launched in 1999 by Wayne Berkowitz. Hailing from Australia, the website took on a life of it's own within a few years, and five years in was already home to one of the largest databases of information about garments, and to be more specific, denim.
Superfuture offers the world a frequently updated set of traveling maps, a listing with reviews of over 1000 shops around the world which are "Superfuture Approved", a blog updated with cutting edge events around the world, and a forum called Supertalk which at times overshadows the other services Superfuture offers.

Styleforum was founded in 2002 in reaction to the poorly run, corporation-owned, men's style discussion forums of the day. Founder Jeremy Jackson and his partner Fok-Yan Leung, who started posting on the forum as a way to procrastinate from writing his doctoral thesis, see Styleforum as a dive bar populated by guys who also happen to really like clothes, often to the point of obsession. A few discussion rooms have been added to the forum since 2002, discussing anything from travel to food, but these are still guys who want to be wearing the best clothes no matter what they are doing.

This jean is limited to 250 pairs between our three stores, once sold out there will be no restocks.

IRON HEART 633s size 32 - imgur link photos taken by a window with natural light.
I've been wearing these for close to 2.5 months now. The waist has gotten a bit too big on me and I find that they fade too slowly. They're still more comfortable at 21oz. than most raw denim I've ever worn, though.
Whiskers are starting to break through, wallet fade is fairly clearly defined on the back left pocket, and while the comb wrinkles are fairly defined, there's almost no evo on the combs, knees, or thighs. These have so much life left in them that your wear will surely overshadow mine in the long run.
At 36" these are ready to be hemmed to your desires. I have not washed them since purchasing them.
      Measurements (the [iron Heart](http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2835.0) way):
      Waist: 17.5" across
      Front Rise: 10.5"
      Rear Rise: 15.5"
      Thigh: 12.5"
Knee (13" down from crotch seam): 8.75"
      Leg Opening/Hem: 7.6"
      Inseam: 36"
      Asking **$200 OBO**.
