I have both of those Jackie mittoo records, and yeah the soul jazz comp is fucking great. I have another few of his records and there is a version of 'sunshine of your love' that is pretty good.

All the reggae I listen to predates the 80's and most is pre 1975 I guess. I love the old paragons, techniques, phyllis dillon, Alton ellis treasure isle sort of stuff, among others. You lot probably aren't too keen on that though.

Do you guys know him ? A french artist singing in English...he is getting really famous worldwide thanks to his singing technique and very peculiar voice...just amazing to me.
