thanks, I started with a charcoal pencil (one of those fat ones with the string) and then moved to sticks of compressed charcoal, I'd say it has about 20-25 hours put into it

Been doing these one to two-hour portraits on square and rectangle canvases:

concise and somewhat enjoyable in their nature of being quick and small; also sized just right for the subway (nothing worse than a painting that demands car service).

Anyone here have a website that host themselves? (i mean not like tumblr etc actually pay for hosting) curious who people like - starting work on a project that shouldn't be too complicated but will need to use MySQL / PHP but I can't imagine that isn't standard with any hosting at this point.

yeah pretty much anyone will have the means to do that stuff. I didn't do much research to be honest. Namecheap handles both my hosting and domains.

I pay $7 a month and I have three (small) sites under my hosting with room for more.

imo the "is to some extent" makes for an indecisive message (wishy-washy).

Put yourself out there – commit: "Everything is a reflection of something else".

Also not sure about the commas following "Everything" and "today", or even the necessity of including "today" (other than the need for sufficient characters to fill out the space).
