Hi super Future,

I am small one man company from Ohio. Besides operating my small business I am a student of the fine arts and art history at Wright State University. I hand cut and stitch all of my works from 100% American made materials. I use three companies for leather sources, Horween of Chicago, Wickett & Craig of Pennsylvania and Hermann Oak of St. Louis, Missouri. For my stitching thread I use the Maine Thread Co. located in Maine. For burnishing my edges I use bees wax from a local family farmer.

I use the maine thread Co. for thread. I have used sinew before, its tough stuff to stitch with but it looks great. the sinew i used was deer sinew.

Horween Shell Cordovan restocks will arrive in a few weeks. Colors will include Color #8 and Black, I also will be receiving a few whiskey shells! I will post some pictures of some recent work in just a few days.

haven't updated for a while but... here is some different things i have been working on.

This first wallet reminds me of hiking or camping so I named it the "camp wallet".

Made with: Black horween shell cordovan exterior, horween italian brown latigo interior, Color #8 Shell Cordovan id slot and Pockets.

this next wallets card slots are inspired by a civil war era wallet i bought at an antiques swap meet a few months back.

made with: Horween Black Shell Cordovan exterior(includes Horween Stamp), Wickett & Craig Medium Brown interior. 6 card slots and a bill slot

in between the card slots are smaller pockets for stamps or what ever you like

Today I went to the farm where i buy bees wax for my leather pieces. While i was there i was able to take pictures of their bee colony, chickens and some other cools stuff. The farm also sells flowers, small amounts of organic produce, and different varieties of eggs.

I have recently received several requests for "field notes" sleeves or covers but I have yet to settle on a design. I thought rather than making a leather cover" why don't i just bind a memo style book in leather, and skip the cover?"

this memo book is made from hermann oak vegetable tan and vintage hand cut paper. These come in packages of 2-4 depending on personal preference.( the leather will settle and flatten after shipping and further more after being used a few times or being put in a purse or pocket)
