It's possible, but i say f*ck em if they can't man up and contribute. It's certainly not a requirement, but a contest is as much a community event as it is an individual journey. i'm just bitchin for bitchin's sake since this thread is really not a contest thread yet. I don't recognize half of the names on there and everyone was all excited and shit about getting in on a pair and then they just disappeared. Just my two cents.

Oh, yeah. I usually carry a tin of Burt's Beeswax Lip Balm in my coin pocket.

Heres A little progress update - taken on the 28th December.

The denim has softened up and begun to stretch in the knees and seat. A little bit of fading is starting to show through - slow to start but has quickened up recently. Getting more comfortable as the days go on.

They really are Lovely Jeans.

Whiskers are developing around the shallow pocket bags - i like how easy they are to get my hand into.

A little twist is evident on the right leg from the selvage.

Combs settling in well.

Seat... Fading on the Seams - Bar tacks Still rock Solid.

Coin Pocket/Pocket...

The Pockets have the most contrast in them so far - i spend a lot of time with my hand in the pockets on these jeans.

Cuffs - Indigo bleed through - triple 1" cuff for me.

The Secrets are in the Detail...Selvage line on Signature Pocket Bag (Sneaky )

Patch...Holding up very well.

Incase it wasnt clear before, Justin the patch guy here. Took a few evo shots, not much going on but some wallet fades and where the buttons are scraping on the fly. Also, some shots from yesterday, helped set up for a music festival in downtown LA, it seemed to be an old warehouse where busses went to die thats now rented out as a venue. Pretty cool old wooden floors and old painted up busses, didnt take many shots as I was pretty busy.

Happy New Year's, fellas. Pulled my groggy ass out of bed and went to church... late. My friend was preaching so I decided to show my support. It is an African-American congregation, and although I was the only Asian in there, was welcomed with open arms. Cool.

This dude came up after service to pick up his moms and pop. Definitely a look Mister Mort would approve. I was feelin' his denim patchwork pants.

Two hours later. we grabbed lunch at a NC staple: The Pit. Instead of ham, I had pulled and chopped pork, with black-eyed peas and collared greens-- a southern New Year's Day tradition.

Then off to another NC staple:

Red Velvet cake doughnut. Awesome.

So I meant to throw the AWs in the wash yesterday, but they ended up sitting in the laundry bin 'cuz a buddy needed a ride to the airport. They're in the wash now: cold/warm gentle cycle. The knee-puckering has to go!

I apologize in advance for the quality of these images. I need to get in the habit of carrying around a camera other than my iphone. I was a photography major in college, so I really have no excuse

A few days before Christmas I went to my brother's house for a little fire pit action. Pictured is my cousin, who is cursing me for turning him on to raw denim. I think he's wearing rrl's in this picture, and is planning on picking up some left fields. I'm so proud! Anyways, the fire gave the andes a nice smoky smell for the duration of the holidays.

On Christmas eve I went with my family to a Panthers game. It was nice to see the Panthers stomp their opponent for a change. As a Georgia fan, I wasn't sure if I would be able to cheer for Cam Newton, but he was fun to watch. My parents have had these seats ever since the stadium opened back in the mid 90's.

Fast forward a bit to New Years Eve back in NYC. We went to one of my favorite restaurants for dinner. They had a very interesting NYE menu. Half of the items were meals last meals requested by deathrow inmates. The other half of the menu was over-the-top decadent food. Here I am eating my appetizer: cheetos and coke. for my entree I had black bass with oysters, fingerling potatoes roasted in lobster butter, and whipped feta. I definitely got to experience both sides of the menu

We went over to a friend's place for the ball drop. They have this fantastic poster hanging in their living room

On Monday I went over to a friend's place in Manhattan to watch Georgia's bowl game vs. Michigan State. That one didn't quite turn out the way I had hoped, but a few rounds of flip cup made me feel better about it

Post wash pics. Warm/cold on gentle cycle with Woolite Dark, 15 minutes low tumble dry, and I wore it lightly damp.
