Iron & Wine... so good. I got into an argument with a snooty hot chick I was driving with to the NCAA tourney, right around when "The Creek..." was released. "How awesome," I thought, "A beautiful girl who digs basketball AND Iron & Wine." All was well until she insisted that I&W was two people, and I mean, to the point of arrogant condescension. Although I regret now what could have been, I still ditched her after that.

Took the day off today to get a bunch of work done around the house, go to IKEA, etc.

ROY fit...

Breakfast, muffin with pepper jack cheese over medium eggs, and smoked turkey. Yum.

Forgot to take any pics from this afternoon, oops...skip ahead to dinner. Onions, check.

Meat, check. been marinating since last Night.

Rice, check.

And a few minutes later you have fast and dirty yakiniku.

another saturday, more drinking with friends. this time to the longfellow grill for $3 taps...and some really good sweet potato fries.

then over to one of my neighborhood favorites the groveland tap for $2.50 microbrews.

Tonight i started with 2 Grainbelts, 3 Anchor Steams, then had a Mirror Pond, and a Magic Hat #9 which was one of the best beers I've ever had. definite buy.

and just got home to the good old industrial neighborhood. I actually love looking at these damn smokestacks all the time...don't really know why.

hope you're all as drunk as I am. cheers. gonna go listen to some Jonsi and Alex and pass out.

another quick update. had a date with little -S- today, so we went for a treat (her idea not mine but it was good anyway) to Dairy Queen for some chicken strips, fries, and an ice cream cone.

then brought her to the Children's Museum. She had a blast. and i'm very tired now...haha.

saw this while driving there...laughed a bit. gotta love that you can now go to a Timberwolves game and they basically pay you for it. tickets total out around $15 bucks and then they give you a $25 dollar visa gift card for making you sit through the worst team in basketball...haha.

I'm not sure what exactly makes this a proper "museum" as its not that educational, it is basically just an immense playground for kids, which is fantastic in the winter.

and we've become very good at sharing. actually I was really proud of the little girl for being such a great sport all day long, playing with the other kids, getting lost in the "ant" maze so that I had to come in after her, then realizing she was playing me for a fool, wasn't lost, and just wanted to see how funny it was for her gigantic dad to try and crawl around in there!

alright. might be my last update with the ROYs still have a few errands to run tomorrow early with them, otherwise they're off to TVshooter tomorrow afternoon. been a great run, not sure i've put too much fading on them, but they're pretty good for 2 months i'd reckon. really love the denim he used on these, would love to have a pair of regular ROYs in this denim, its very different from anything I currently own.

anyways, when i got home from work this was waiting for me! some big ass prints for my show next month. and the first copy of the book is here as well, but its stuck in our loft offices as my wife missed the FedEx guy today.

a couple of weeks delay aaaaaand- we're back! -Z- was unfortunately buried in snow and upon the first sign of meltage, was determined to make a voyage out of his ice-crusted loft to the post office. after fighting off a few Abominable snowmen, frostbitten toes, and sheer terror of driving in MPLS highways, (with maybe a few drinks to warm up in between) has delivered the GRWT jeans!

i'm gonna deviate from the month to month thing and hold onto these for the next 30 days if ya'll don't mind. i have some fun things and places i wanna take these, so please LEEEMMME HAVE EM, two weeks ain't enuf!!! side note- i can see why you fools love Roy's jeans so much. these are much nicer than i ever expected. denim is heavy! seriously- i might send ROY some money and call it a day. don't hate!
