good stuff as always guys. vetuv nice for your first paid gig! you use an external flash? alien bee? trying to decide between an alienbee and a canon speedlight 430.. i know the alienbee would be better for portraits but the speedlight would be better for action sports.. damn i need both.

thanks. i use a sb-800, usually off-camera for 'shoots' and on camera for party situations. id go with the 430, they're a lot more versatile.

Is it kosher to post uneditted photos? Especially when all of them from the shoot have dirt on the inner lens and subsequently have a noticeable mark in every photo? I wanna post, but my damn CS2 ran out of time on the trial.

Also, shit of the most excellent caliber on this pg.

^ it's not unkosher, just make sure they're up to par or be prepared to deal with the criticism of people telling you to clean your photos/lenses

fyi, all GIFs are limited to 256 colors.

really? i remember making gifs a few years ago and being able to save them at a much higher quality.

^ There are different algorithms to choose the colors that can make an image look marginally better or worse, but the GIF format can only store 256 colors max, so photos are never going to look as good as with JPG.
