found this at my old house. figured I'd get some good use out of it.

any preference between Tri-X or HP5 for low light? i've not shot either.

figure Velvia for daytime as well. this will be fun.

id go with the first one..not only can you see the details of the materials best, but i also like the angle and the wood that the shoes are sitting on most in the first shot. you also did a good job keeping the brand labels clearly recognizable with an interesting overlapping composition.

my commercial photo teacher said this "get in close to your subject, and when you think you're close enough...get closer"

I like the first, particularly the grain. What did you shoot it with?

thanks my man.

Canon T1i + 20mm f/2.8.

^ nice -Z-! For some reason that photo reminds me of this rubber duckie that sold on ebay for a bundle, cuz the seller claimed it was possessed!

Some recents shots from a long weekend in cottage country

so i got a t2i about half a year ago and i've been fooling around with it, learning photography basics.. (i still don't know much about it..)

and while going through the garage i found an old nikon fm10 with a broken lens. I borrowed a friend's 50mm 1.8 and threw it on to see if a roll of film would develop and it worked! pretty stoked.

i kind of enjoy not having that immediate feedback after taking a picture.

but this one was the best out of the bunch, i think. my dog broke his leg after he jumped out of a kid's arms :(
