Just a question out of curiousity, and this might have already been discussed before, if so, pardon me.

What is a good portrait lens? 85mm,105mm, 135mm?

i've been thinking of getting the 85mm f/1.4, however, did more reading, and it probably messed up my mind.

there are reviews of the 105mm as being the best portrait lens a nikon user could ever wish for, and the 135mm too.

so what is which?

^^^^ depends on what you like really and what type of shot you want i shoot with anywhere from a 17mm to a 200mm but stick closly to my 105nikkor in the studio try renting one and give it a try

renny, seriously nice shots.

have you studied photography or something?

mis, dont normally flash photography but the statue is sweet.

and the top floor window shot is good.

and FTB, shots are poorly exposed. black and white was a nice touch though.

i think the portraits could be nicer if done tighter.
