can someone recommend some basic literature for photo newbs?

I really like Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. It's a good book that speaks in layman's terms in regards to a lot of important beginner aspects of photography. Check it out.

haha -- thanks ZMEH!

There's this .. art installation? (not the best term for it, but it works) that's installed under the brooklyn bridge underpass, not entirely sure what it's doing there but it looks pretty cool at night

Fantastic pics people

I just picked up my first DSLR (Nikon D3000) and I have been playing around with interior shots, as thats what I will be mainly taking for my business. I do contracting/acrhictecture designs and need good photos to show off my work. It would be primarily used for wide shots of an entire wall for example, with a built in/fireplace mantle I made

Heres a few trial shots

Can anyone recommended me a good lens for a super wide angle while still maintaining the detail? ( ie no fish eye lenses)

I was recommended a Tokina AT-X 116 2.8 AT-X pro , as I will be doing almost all of my shots inside in low light situations the apature speed seems to make sense, I was also recommended to immediately update the stock flash on my camera.

What are your thoughts ladies and gentlemen, I would love to get some info other then what I have read and researched on other websites
