Joining in on the Texas snow, we didn't get it nearly as bad as Houston. Thinking I might actually end up wearing these uncuffed.16 points

This is good to know, I didn't want to shit on Simo! I love my 311. The only thing that comes to mind for me on initial thought, with a size 38 in mind: The pocket bags feel a tiny too shallow (fits iPhone 14 Pro just); an extra inch in length would probably be perfect Front pocket openings are a little small, at least for my hands. It's probably partly a syndrome of "new denim" stiffness—but they are only ~13oz—and my hand size; however, I don't think I have overly humungous hands. Everything else feels solid. Love the denim!12 points

Hi all, For those that don't know me, I spent the last 3.5 years or so working at Son of a Stag/Soldier blue in London, UK. If any of you had any repairs done by them during that period, it's very likely to have done by me. I've now left SoaS and have moved down to the Kent coast where I'm going to spend more time making bags and leather accessories (wallets, keyrings & the like) I'm also set up to take on jeans repairs. So, if any of you want anything done, please do get In touch. Will be very happy to give you a price. Below are a couple of before and afters I did. Sadly l can't justify the cost of a chain stitcher so I unable to offer shortening. Apologies for the blatant promotional post 🙂 Martin10 points

Mostly shelving my 001’s for now, but still a lot of life left in the them. Probably close to a good year of wear at this point with quite a few washes and one or two tumble dries. The denim felt fairly crispy up until the first wash, at which point it just totally softened up and any honeycomb creases were essentially gone. Great jeans.10 points

Very very frigid today so I'm bunded up inside. It's 0°f/ -17c outside right now and Hell has actually frozen over in the United States. To those of you living in other parts of the world, please keep a close eye on us. Things are about to get downright sketchy. Multiple friends working in or for multiple three letter agencies have privately cautioned to keep our eyes and ears open. Stay safe Sufu. A few thoughts from Simone on the point that @Jared_Lee raised for your consideration... these may (or may not) help with it!! i think that some of the fit problem Jared was addressing can be also caused by pulling the waist to much higher, if you let’em sit naturally i’m pretty confident that the extra fabric in the yoke/pocket butt area will release'5 points

The Late S40s jeans just landed at Bears, along with the corresponding Type I jacket. Between the appealing price with free shipping, and measurements comparable to my favorite pairs I wear, I couldn't resist and ordered a pair. These should be a nice complement to the more conventional wartime features on my TFH 3003xx. Amazingly, this is my first pair of TCB jeans. (Though back in 2017, I briefly had their 50s jacket. I loved the denim on it, but it was too small for me.) I'd be really curious to hear from somebody who's had several of the specific wartime repros that have come out in the last couple years from other brands like Sugar Cane and Warehouse, and how they compare to TCB's attempt.4 points

@ALB you probably can't go wrong with Full Count 0105. Should be wide enough. For higher rises, maybe Freewheelers or TCB 40s could be an option4 points

My 5150's have been through the wash and they're looking mighty fine! Pre and post as follows: W35 / L30 Waist: 17" / 15 1/2" FR: 13" / 12" BR: 17" / 16" Thigh: 13" / 12 1/2" Inseam: 30" / 27 1/2" They've got more of a pronounced taper than I was expecting, which I like the look of - fit pics will be presented tomorrow, I didn't get any pre-wash!4 points

Yeah there are a few models at play here I hadn't noticed the issuette Jared has pointed out on any of the jeans but the guy has a keen eye. It'll be interesting to see how you feel about this quirk over time as the jeans settle down. Agreeing with bF, Simo said to me while he hopes everyone really likes the jeans, he's also very interested in any constructive feedback to make his product even better. I think this sits in that camp. fwiw Jared, I think your slightly oversized fit on the 5150s looks great... well thought out that was. Ditto yours aho. I want me some big WoM jeans now so I'm cold-washing when I get to it.3 points

They shrank perfectly. -3" in the waist to a 32" waist. Leg opening came down to 8.5" from 9". There's a bit of a pattern issue in the seat shape and pockets as I've seen in others' photos as well as my fit, but nothing that ruins the fit. Just a little pattern issue that could be addressed going forward with WoM. Edit: pocket bags are also ~1" too shallow for my liking. Again, small issue, but worth noting.3 points

My girlfriend got me the Flat Head FN-OJ-D102 blanket lined jacket while we were in Japan. I previously had the Momotaro x Okayama Denim "Frost" type II blanket lined jacket and never liked how it fit. I put this one on in the Jingumae shop and fell in love, fits absolutely perfect. I've been wearing it almost every day since November, its been nice since we've had a dry & cold winter in the Pacific Northwest. Only gripe is no side pockets but I can get over that, I've been wearing gloves instead2 points
