Hi guys, I'm sure you've seen this on Resolute's IG but just wanted to share a photo of the Resolute GB (Ghost Black) which will be released on 2025. Here side by side is how it looks new versus worn for about a year.. even new, it doesn't have a very deep black color, almost like a deep indigo/navy which I really like.9 points

Anyone here recognize these? Def. MP-series, but I don't think I've ever seen those rivet backs. The bar tack on the fly is also throwing me for a loop; I think that rules out the 597 or the 603. (Anyone here a size 26?)4 points

I know, this is not about politics, but congrats to the British fellows! May Labour make you buy more Denim and get your asses back into the EU...3 points

The contrast stitching plays a big role and can deceive your eyes. If you want a pair of black jeans which look black it's better to use tonal stitching (IMO).2 points

Could those rivets be celebrating 1990? Toyo Enterprises was founded in 1965, so 25th anniversary then.1 point

That’s interesting, never dawned on me about it when hanging them out to dry. Would like to see this done if others here do that with the holes/strings. No strings with mine. I’m not too familiar with old naval tshirt history as well if this was common practice.1 point

@mlwdp the purpose of those buttons came up in the Unknown Japanese Brands thread for similar Bronson t-shirts I got (I know... someone (me) posted in the wrong thread while all 3 mods just let it slide... I know)... apparently they were used for hanging the t-shirts out to dry... mine came with some string for that purpose... did you get strings with this?1 point

Yeah try the tender cuff method! One big cuff, then fold the lower half of the cuff up to meet the original hem line. Idk if that makes sense, there are photos somewhere in the tender thread.1 point

@chicote Their sizing supposedly varies quite a bit between lasts. I’ve had good experiences emailing them in the past to confirm—but also each of their product pages generally lists a suggested foot length range for each model, which I’ve found to be reliable1 point

I'll post some photos and thoughts once they arrive. TSM sent out a free shipping coupon for the 4th so I jumped.1 point

The Flat Head SNK-01 Great kicks, would get another pair if I could. Buttery soft leather and solid construction. Not worth MSRP (at least for my use case), but they used to show up on Yahoo pretty regularly for like 50% off and at that point it was hard to complain1 point

Mill Reef Gallop Oxfords, got these from Canvas in late 2020 Really cool shoes but they didn’t hold up great. Main complaint is the rubber at the heel coming delaminated and flapping around within just the first year or so; they haven’t seen a ton of wear since then1 point

Old Nigel Cabourn joints, got them on sale from Speedway in maybe 2018 Really like the discoloration of the canvas at high-sweat points, and the way the tongue has held creases and the laces have worn through the taping1 point

Hey I'm back so soon that I can see another one of my posts on the same page of the thread. I made a video where I go over every single Acronym Nike release and cover my personal collection along the way. I also touch on the new MSCHF collaboration. I have every Lunar Force 1 because I love that shoe so much, there's also a tier list near the end for my definitive ranking of every pair. I think I get mildly controversial with some of my opinions!1 point

My natural indigo 1880s were a bit grubby so I gave them a handwash. For those who haven't seen them before, this was pretty much LVC's last model and, more significantly, Cone's last new fabric, an 1880s nautral indigo repro, using indigo grown in the US. It's a bit dark and my hands are a bit shaky (hangover) but this gives something of an impression. My previous natirual indigo jeans included the early Levi's Nevada/Kurabo, the SDA, Sugarcane; this is easily the nicest fabric. Crocks quite a lot but doesn't wash out, lots of crinkling. These are close to the perfect place, so for the summer I've switched to my old 1890s single pocket pair, which are Kaihara fabric I think - nice, but the slubbing is far more regular, Cone really mastered a more random slub on what would be their last new Levi's style fabric. The other pic is the field that supplied the indigo, harvested at dawn.1 point

Also got my pair recently, planning to do the same as Doc and wait a bit. Probably once it starts to cool off. But I might be tempted to start wearing them sooner.1 point

Loving these Tezomeya t-shirts. Got one un-dyed and one Fujinezu-iro (deep purple). Worn both, washed one... they'll do nicely... thanks to @julian-wolf for sharing above. Agree they are a bit long on the 185cm but they're relaxed and can be tucked nicely so it's all fine. The colour is really nice and dull. I'll go a few more as the dyeing has my interest. Fujinezu-iro created by using insect galls. This deep purple color was one of the popular colors in Edo period and this dying process was also used for dyeing teeth black which was fashionable in Edo period. I'm not going full tilt with the black teeth though 😁1 point

Tezomeya ebizome-iro (madder root + cochineal, mordanted with alum + wood vinegar) henley neck tee Really like this thing a lot. I have two other, much older tees from them as well, which are just as deserving of photo shoots, but I’m wearing one now and the other’s in the laundry. I have a few other newer ones, too, that aren’t yet worth photographing. All that’s to say that I really love their shirts, and will def. be continuing to buy more whenever the opportunity arises. Really great fabric, great dyeing, overall A+ work1 point

Sauce Zhan heavyweight cotton tee garment dyed w/ natural pigment (I think maybe from magnolia?) Picked this up in ~2017 and have worn it a couple times a month since. With all pigment-dyed tees, I really enjoy seeing the border than forms between sun-bleached and not, where they get tucked in. On this one, I’ve noticed something I’d never seen before, which is a darker imprint of the front of the collar on the back of the neck (pics 4 & 6). I can only imagine that it’s from when the shirt is out drying in the sun after getting washed, since those two parts don’t see each other at all when it’s getting worn. In any case, it’s become an absolute favorite detail. I’m bummed out by the polyester stitching, which looks more and more out of place the longer I wear the shirt, but I’m usually able to look past it, and overall I like the shirt a lot1 point
