  10. Encinitas after wash. Really nice subtle texture to this fabric, and the green caste is a nice change from the purple & red hues we see more often.

  13. My warehouse 1915 belt loop model (aka 1922 model) which l have been wearing on and off for the last year. Only had one wash since its initial soak. Love the cut details and denim but boy they do seem to fade quick. Phone pics have been 'sufu'd' so click on for a better quality version.

  14. Long time no post... So on the topic of those Ukrainian Ande's on eBay, like everybody else i suspected the seller's measurements were off and did my own calculations. I took a (semi) drunken punt and low balled an offer which was accepted. I can happily report the inseam is a 30" not a 26", and as such fit me perfectly. The jeans themselves i'd say have probably only seen a months wear perhaps? Not even that....The only thing the seller neglected to mention was that this was the rainbow nep edition that Ande did, but it's fairly subtle & i actually kind of like it. Feels like a 13oz. Pretty stoked with them to be honest...

  15. My Csf WW2 got a regular wash and made the jerky patch fall to pieces so l removed the rest. Nice roping thanks to @Mr Black skills at hemming on the old Union special. Been wearing these and my WH 1922s for a while but now it seems like shorts weather until September so my Csf will get put away until then. (Edit) sorry about the crap pic quality, not my intention. Click on them to get sharper image.

  20. Bootleggers 213 from about 20 years ago - you all know it’s rare as hen’s teeth and it’s actually the only one I’ve ever seen. Size 40 The leather patch is gone, and the fading is heavier in some areas but there’s a ton of life in it yet - the denim is in great condition, it’s not getting thin or frayed in any area Happy to listen to any fair offer

  23. 400T. 5 months of wear, 2 washes, first wash wasn't until after 3 months and felt necessary after 2 weeks of daily wear travelling throughout SE Asia. These get 3-4 days of wear per week at least, and were the only pair of jeans I wore from mid-January until maybe a month ago. Other than my Warehouse 800xx, these are the quickest fading pair I've worn, and the surprising amount of vertical fading is a nice addition. Excited to see how they'll look after I hit the 1-year mark.

  24. Picked this up on Yahoo for my partner and I’m mega jealous No idea when it’s from; I don’t recognize the buttons from any of my M-series Lee’pro jeans. Thoughts / references? I don’t recognize the denim itself, either, but that’s no surprise. The liner feels like cotton / poly (oh well), and it’s done proper, built as it’s own almost-jacket and just connected to the denim at the waist, collar, front plackets, cuffs—no shared seams on the body or sleeves

  26. Last two days. Today: vintage Crested Butte merchandise, diy jeans, etnies. Additional closeup of the diy jeans, I like how they're coming along. Yesterday: straight edge tee, Eddie Bauer (started off as pants but never liked the way they fit so I turned them into shorts), etnies.

  44. Aaaaannnndddd they're done. Still gotta wash them to get rid of anything from the mill, but they're done. The waistband went much easier this time around. Decided to baste it in place and that made a world of difference (last two pics). I had far less problems getting the needle to grab the inside edge. Went with tucked loops again. Also pleased with how easily my zig zag machine did bartacks on the loops. I think this Janome might run smoother than my 201. He also wanted 7 loops instead of the standard 5 because he likes how it keeps his belt in place better. I'll update with fit pics in a couple weeks after his birthday. Things went really well on this pair though. I wasn't able to use my compensating foot because I realized the needle bar nicks it slightly and I don't want to mess anything up on my Singer. So I had to do most of the topstitching by lining the edge up with the presser foot toe. It was a good lesson in sewing straight and patience, but I think it made me a better sewist because of it.
