But yeah, walking around downtown Helsinki is quite the experience i must say. specially shop assistants in certain stores. I have the hugest crush on one for like 3 years now, never saw her outside work even though I know we share friends. bummer

three months ago i was dumped by the girl who i thought i would spend the rest of my life with - it hit me like a fucking truck and i vented aka bitched about it on sufu. last night i hung out with a girl who i always thought was crazy hot and have been casual acquaintances with for a few years. after a few hours, we ended up in her bed and it was the first time i've ever slept with someone that i hadn't been dating. the whole thing was great and way less weird than i expected, everything just sort of naturally happened. by this stage it was about 4am and following some post-deed random conversations (covering everything from her ex to my upcoming job interview and her parents flipping out if they knew she just had a white dick in her mouth) i made up an excuse as to why i had to go, ate a big mac in my car listening to fat trel and went to bed. the whole ride home i was thinking 'why haven't i done this earlier?'.

 

anyway, the reason for my post is this - i guess i consider myself an 'okay looking' dude, but i am also quiet, somewhat awkward, don't drink and often suffer from severe anxiety. i used to be very guilty of over analysing/complicating things in my head which would regularly result in me sitting on my hands and doing nothing at all in terms of women. when i was at her joint last night, reality slapped me in the face and i said to myself that you've just got to make a move: you're either going to end up with her sitting on your face or a 'no thanks'. the former is dope and the latter really isn't that soul destroying (unless you were close friends and then you shouldn't have even 'went there' in the first place). my only advice is something obvious that always needs to be reiterated: body language is huge. learn how to read it and respond if its positive. if you respond and the situation presents itself, do it confidently and don't doubt yourself like i did for a long fucking time.

 

tldr - watch forgetting sarah marshall.

I just want to add that even though i'm a huge supporter of tinder, nothing really beats approaching women in real life. You know exactly what they look, sound and move, nothing beats that. Unfortunate revelations might come to you when you meet someone on Tinder and they turn out to be completely different from what you imagined (hasn't happened yet though). Funniest thing so far was telling a girl i wouldn't have internet available so she would need to text me when she was ready to meet me that day, and...she sent a whatsapp message. She obviously turned out not be the smartest person I have ever met to say the least.
