This guy is a local guy that reproduces Civil War era leather goods. A lot of stuff he makes is really only useful for Civil War reenactors but he does make some belts that look good. Next time I'm home I'm planning on stopping by to see about getting a belt.

Everything from Crate is made in LA. Even better is the denim is vintage deadstock Lee, Levi's and Wrangler denim from the early '70's and beyond, so even the fabrics were built here. Just grabbed these guys today:

Raleigh Denim is a great story! Very small operation in Raleigh, North Carolina (husband/wife/14 employees). Everything made by hand with Cone Mills denim. Sold mostly in Barneys and small boutiques. Last I heard, you can only buy direct if you go to their factory. They don't keep much inventory on hand, since their production is so low; mostly a few odds and ends of discontinued models. They are planning to open a shop, now that they've moved to a new location (at least that's the rumor I heard).

Quick update on Raleigh Denim, I got a very nice email from Sarah Lytvinenko (co-founder) saying they're launching an online store in Jan/Feb. Also mentioned that anytime anyone is in the Raleigh, NC area to drop by their place.

I just received my pair of Raleigh jeans. Very nice hand made look and feel. Going to start wearing them today.
