That's my blue jay friend who comes to visit me for peanuts at break time. I'm trying to train him to come when I whistle!

So, working in the gardens for the last 2 months has really put the hurt on these jeans and I think I'm in need of some preventative crotch repairs etc...

Setterman, where did you send your 55's for that amazing repair job? Or can anyone recommend a good place in LA for denim repairs?

I'm about a week or so behind on my update, so apologies for the delay. I had a hard time getting accurate colors with this set of pics, but I think the first one probably shows the true color best.

Pictures are taken indoor, the lighting turns out abit yellowish.. colour bit darker in real life, but they have the same shade of blue indoor..

great pair setterman, very nice vintage-y style fades reminiscent of my pop's jeans. i remember when i was just a little boy i used to hold on to his leg before he went to work in a bid to stop him and this was how they looked. great.

broke my camera back in april- recently bought a little cheapy that will suffice while I am traveling.

Did some heavy repairs back in May and have been wearing them lightly since. Don't think the jeans will be able to hold up to everyday wear from now to December so shearing lots of wear with a pair of cactus equipment super-trousers.

Anyways here are some pics showing the repairs and what they look like as of yesterday:

Went back through the past few months of posts, and I'd say there's 11 or 12 guys with an honest shot. Just depends on the judge's taste. Personally, I really like what I'm seeing from the 30s 501s.

Update for July. Two more to go, September and November, and this contest is over with! Looking forward to some great looking jeans from everyone coming down the home stretch!

My little camera takes nice close up, but I wish I knew how to get crisper clearer, over all shots. If any one has any advice, PM me please.

Nah, I'll still be wearing 'em. There's so little change going on now though there isn't much point to updating more than the required every two months. So early September, early November, and then the final ones at the end of the month.

Hope I'm still in the race after missing the February, April, and June updates. They're still getting about one day of wear per week at best. So these haven't changed much. But enough excuses!

It's a hot Independence Day (NB: a black shirt and jeans aren't a good outfit when it's 95°F [35°C] outside). We're celebrating the best way we know how: fireworks! We also picked raspberries, but the only photo evidence I have of that is my red-stained fingers.

In case the state of Illinois asks, this isn't me pictured.
