Evisu is still loved!

it would seem that technically the #2 heritage should cost more than the #!, if they are the 'same' denim, since sanforization is a process that costs $$$ to do. and if the open-end #4 is more expensive than the #2or#3, somebody is really getting over. makes no sense. i can figure the #13LHT would be pricey, since it's rarer to find a left-hand denim, and it's evisu.

Well, now that I think about it, most of the #4 denim I've seen came with some fancy designs. I'm sure, if it were just plain denim, it might be cheaper. The shorts they made with the #4 denim were pretty cheap, and sold out quick.

Good stuff over the last few pages, some worthy points of view!

Post your battle pics.

Seriously though, both have great details but 45 & Evisu truly come at it in two distinctly different ways.

I tend to wear a lot more 45rpm tops but I stay far, far away from Evisu's.

Sweet jeans! I can only compare worn in Evisu, might try and get some pics up sometime soon...the 2101s are starting to look a little more beat up, think they'll definitely be worth the wait...

This is something I wondered about, especially when looking at the price difference between No.1 and No.2 in Japan

Yeah theres loads of colabs in Japan. Thats the most obvious though. Couldnt wear that anywhere apart from if i worked at MC D's lol

I'd probably wear them for the novelty value, I'd get a kinda perverse pleasure out of ruining them haha!

On a different note, had a bit of a random moment at Manchester Piccadilly Station today...saw a girl in front of me carrying a Yamane bag, identical to the one my 2000s arrived in.

I commented on the bag, and she said that her mom had given it to her when she came back from a trip to Japan...her mom was in front of her, and she was wearing what looked like a pair of No.2 (I guess) 2000s, with plain pockets...I didn't say too much as it might have freaked them out, having a tattooed Brummie engaging them in conversation about what the mother was wearing, but it brought a smile to my face, at least...

After MANY false starts and bad luck with evisu (US heritage - fits crappy in my size, attempt at getting denim no0 was massively undersized, way too many gaudy pockets, etc etc etc) I finally nabbed these:

Which are perfect! Japan-made, no1 denim, subtle pocket design, red tab, good fit, unwashed. Paid $215 including shipping, so way less than BiG prices. Yay!

whoever wore that deluxe jacket on the evisu int'l blog page gets much props from the kid. i love elbow combs. after seeing the macro-porn, i like how the red-cast denim and the #1 fade...

Porcelain isn't too bad it's those new Vinyl and Acrylic tub's that hold the blue color.

I still need to get some Dr. Bronner's! On my to do list.

a squirt or two of bronner's and the indigo will come off easily. i've done it a hundred times. even on a porcelain paul revere antique tub.
