I'd tend to agree with all of you, as regards holding off on a wash - my job doesn't help though, as it's basically frenetic bursts of energy, punctuated by periods sat at a desk....so there's been plenty of opportunity for sweating, then a good knee crease and stretch while it soaks in. And after about 6 weeks of that rotation, I've ended up with some extremely comfortable, but rather dank jeans! The flashed-out pictures gave a truly disappointing representation of how they're looking, too. And, in all fairness, they've had no water on them at all up to this point, as (for no particular reason) I never pre-soak any of my sanforized denim.

Plus, it doesn't help that they've had a trip to Vegas with me. Even several weeks later, there's still a little of that 'essence' captured in them - although, in that regard, they're far better off than my Hotei Fans.....I've worn those fairly solidly on 3 trips down there now, but I've held off on a wash, as I probably only have 3 weeks of wear time on them in total. That said though, they have something of an aura about them, uncannily close to the heady aroma of a casino carpet (not that I've ever bent down and sniffed one, you understand.....).

Anyhow, 'nuff babbling - here's the scan of the Yamane vs. Lightning 15th Anniversary tee I mentioned in an earlier post....I believe the whole series of tees for this go on sale starting tomorrow (13th):

'the heady aroma of a casino carpet' is lyrical...repped :)

You'll have to post some pics of the jeans when they're dry...I know what you mean about having to wash them though, I wanted to wear my green caste jeans for as long as possible without washing, but the stench beat me on the third month..Febreze and airing your jeans outside is not going to do fuck all to the bacteria that cause the jeans to smell and possibly rot...

Great tee as well, really liking that :)

Speaking of the green caste jeans, I managed to get some better pics finally...these won't be getting too much hard wear for a while, for obvious reasons...

Really nice jeans though, really happy with the subtle way they turned out...

Hey CTB how do you think the Lazy S' will fade? Wasn't it the D85's that are known for being extremely hard to break in?

Jokes aside, I'll be happy as fuck if they end up like any of Paul T's Lees, posted elsewhere in various threads...Paulo posted some faded 2101s a few pages back too, and they were unreal...
