Evisu is still loved!

Hey guys, first time poster long time reader... need some help.

I got a pair of Evisu No1 Lot 2000 and havent soaked them yet. Im finding that they are already skin tight around the waist. I sized up 1 for the no1's (W31) but it seems like my No2's 2000 (W30) are bigger around the waist.

Is there anyway I can soak them to get the starch out without having them shrink in the waist. I thought I could either hotsoak them except for the waist or wear them in the bath and let them dry while wearing so the waist wont shrink. Or maybe even just a cold soak? Thanks

i wore mine in the tub for half an hour, and then wore em till they were dry.

thanks mr.invincible

Mine are tagged 34 and I think Cheap's pair are 33. I just went to measure my pair for you and the waist measured in at about 33.5". I soaked them back in August and I wore them right after while damp to stretch out the waist a bit.

For reference I did not hem mine and I am about 5'10" 175lbs

I will post a fit pic of mine when the girlfriend comes over with her camera. I got black handpainted gulls, a bit harder to see but still looks good. It sounds like a hot soak while wearing the jeans is my best bet. Thanks for the replys guys.

Also not sure if the No.1's are darker in the denim but definitely a different shade than the No.2's

there should be a dedicated no.1 thread for us lucky owners.

There was a thread when BiG started carrying No.1 denim back in 2008:

http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk/showthread.php?t=53192

Sadly, despite the numerous fit pics from the people who bought the jeans, very, very few of them seem to have had much wear, judging by the general lack of evo postings...

I did find a couple of pics of mine, taken just after their initial soak. They also show the evo of my left sleeve... :)

i had a pair, too short in the leg. In my experence with japanese denim i felt that they where the best, so much deepth in the blue's and yet so soft, really great jeans, might try buy a pair in a few years time....

on anouther note the person i sold them to is listing them again on ebay and they are at £3.00

I suck, couldn't come up with anything other than all the typical answer like "they are really nice, very hairy and unsanforized.".

Pretty much, they also weighed more, and, if I recall, used a different dyeing process. Also, according to accounts, they shrink like a bitch.

hope to one day get a pair of red tagged custom-pocket from japan one day, but these will hopefully be my staple for a while

Seriously mate, why bother with getting the ones you're looking at now, if you really want a pair of Japanese ones?

Why not just get the ones from Japan as soon as you can, rather than end up with jeans that aren't your main wish?

The No.1 denim takes forever to truly start looking the business, and it would be pointless to get the jeans without the tab if you're only going to be getting the Japanese ones sometime in the next year or so...

Just my thoughts :)

Nice choice Yin, I got the exact same pair and same gulls.

For a post soak Im planning to hot soak them in the bath while wearing them. That way the waist will stay the right size for me and i'll have more of a custom fit with the shrinkage of the legs, etc...

Ive bought a nice camera off ebay, waiting for that to arrive before I can snap any. chambo didnt realise you were the one who bought my jeans. cant wait for a fit pic.
