had a field day today, woke up in the morning feeling great, unboxed my ROY denim that i saved for this morning and it was really great. it is impossible that anybody doesnt know about it but just in case if you dont, you should check it out here. these are great jeans and the workmanship speaks for itself.

headed out to work after that and was tasked to clean up the storeroom. pretty shitty but halfway through, i uncovered a fucking gem! FUCKKKKK.

of course most of you already have this, but the only ones that i own are the two more recent copies "the denim book" and "denim buyers guide". this one is full of gold! brings back a lot of memories as i saw pictures of the warehouse 660 contest jeans and its hard to believe they were from that long ago. something caught my eye though and i saw these two marked pages..

what were they? flipped to both pages and found these..

to my surprise i found that the place i work at used to stock the denime xx type as well as 66xx models and damn, a year ago they went on sale cos nobody bought them! they were slashed 70% off and were retailing at around 90USD. DAMN I WISHED I WAS MORE INTO JAPANESE DENIM AND SLIM/STRAIGHT CUTS BACK THEN. life is a big bitch! what lousy luck. took a while for me to get over it, then flipped through more pages. pretty cool stuff i found.

sadly for all of us you are completely wrong. "we" (i would like to refer to "we" as "they" actually) only carry swedish brand dr denim jeans, a small selection of naked and famous as well as a few unpopular models of edwin (think weird furry iron-on-like patch as the leather patch) and a pair of KMWs which are too huge for asians. the market in singapore is too saturated with nudie wearers. not many people are willing to pay prices of up to 250USD for a pair of jeans that they dont know much about. nudie is god-like for everyone here, the bigger and more prominent the arcs, the better. also, skinnies are the only things people wear. of course there are a select few who are different but that remains few. is this the same everywhere else?

When I was in Sweden at the start of the summer, I definitely saw a lot more of them there than I have in the US (which is all of 2 people not employed by denimbar). I did, however, see a lot more people in Levi's than I expected.
