these images weren't taken today but i finally managed to upload them..

caught a good live act last week in sydney at hodern pavilion, the show was full of energy. well done phoenix. just done with editing of the pictures.

got our tickets way early for this sold out show last week on wednesday. it was real good the atmosphere and all.

heres one of the crowd getting all excited, generally i thought the crowd made it a good gig!

_MG_0776.jpg

a shot of the band (part of)

_MG_0806.jpg

the drummer

_MG_0787.jpg

at some random point in time the lead decided to nosedive into the waiting crowd, much to the delight of crotch-grabbing female fans.

_MG_0887.jpg

and this was how the show ended at the end just like all other gigs.

_MG_0913.jpg

all in all a pretty solid experience. would kill to go again. thank goodness there wasnt any mud and i didnt have to get them jawnz dirty.

@ phive-oh-won: nice paint job! I've been wanting to try acrylics on some denim... Hmmm..

@ forest: They are a Red Wing X Beams collab. Beams has stores across Japan - I bought mine in Tokyo a few seasons back.

One of the neat things about kids is that they can turn the ordinary into an adventure! We took our daughter to see Alice at the Imax yesterday, so today... She was Alice & I was the Mad Hatter, looking for the rabbit hole...

Our search started along the Don Valley trail. We started out clean enough...

stillclean01.jpg

But then we quickly ran into... MUD!

muddytrail01.jpg

Great fun sliding & sloshing through this part!

Got down to the river... Where we rinsed most of it off our boots...

We "forded" over to a little island, narrowly escaping the quicksand :)

fording01.jpg

We hiked for a couple of hours. Spotted deer tracks, but the deer were shy today.

deertracks01.jpg

Chased a rabbit ( without a waistcoat ) but he disappeared - and we never did find his hidey-hole!

So we wound our back back to the playground. My definition of being a "swinger" these days:

Discovered - by sinking in - that the fields of summer had become the plains of red clay mush!

Finally, sat in the glorious sunshine, to dry off, before heading home!

Hope you're all enjoying some great weather! :)

Riff, those pictures bring back memories. I must've been like 10 last time I wandered around the DV trail.

After the birthday boy spilled a pitcher of beer on my Sam's:

At least weather's been good and they got to dry in the sun over the last few days.

First time...

Slow day covering a shift. My kid was just hanging out...

A puppy smelling my dirty Chucks and fucked up cuffs on my 1001s.

Wanted to go outside and play with my kid, but we're stuck inside.

Un-stitched park of the arcuate.

@dchill venue looks amazing!

My fiancee and I are just starting to get the ball rolling on our wedding and immigration paperwork. If all goes well I could be the first white immigrant to the US since that comedian who told the 'In Soviet Russia...' jokes!

Okay Sufu, please be gentle with me this time....

Woke up and drove to my friend Kelv's house.

Hung out on his roof while trying to figure out where to eat.

Photo0415-Copy.jpg

Decided to go to San Gabriel to have lunch at Cha For Tea. Awesome boba shop with generous portions of food.

Photo0416.jpg

Photo0417.jpg

The drive took ten minutes. Then we arrived at our destination.

Photo0418.jpg

I ordered Crispy Chicken with rice. The lunch special came with an entree and a small drink for about $7.50

Got too hungry and started eating and forgot to take a picture...There was a side salad and corn and about double the amount of chicken in the picture....

After meal pic. Beautiful skies today, but really windy!

Photo0424.jpg

On the drive home i saw a funny PPPRPLE Porsche haha.

Photo0430.jpg

And admired the snow capped mountains in the distance. I haven't seen snow in like...3 years :/

That was my day (:

It snowed again, so my 660s and I bundled out and headed out this morning for breakfast.

Sarah decided she wanted to scrape the car... I finally wrestled the scraper away from her after this picture and finished while she warmed up the inside.

IMGP0002-9.jpg

We then went to Tecolote Cafe

Now we are back and cozy while the fire roars and the dog sleeps on the foot of the bed.

Not to name names but sometimes I wonder if people who live in th suburbs and just drive around realize how boring that is.

Edit: Not you Stunt.

Even though it's not toward me, luckily I don't live exactly in the suburbs. It's considered the burbs in the area, but not like those clone house lanes.

I get bored driving through them, couldn't imagine living there.

The only fun I could really imagine having in the suburbs, would be riding my bike up and down the hills. Even then it would be boring, because there's no traffic to worry about.

yes, most of us realize sooner or later after many attempts to look for things to do.

unfortunately, in the east coast suburbs we can't even ride a bike everywhere due to weather or lack of pavement.

we usually just get high or drunk somewhere. but then again so does everyone.
