it's no MW2 (love you guhl) but Socom 4 is fun.

And that quote is somewhat right. Full on firefights on Socom are pretty dope. bullets flying everywhere and moving is dangerous. It looks like tactical play will pay off (or laying down in bushes in wait).

the downside is that in elimination games (which I prefer) camping can get ridic. to the point it's not even camping its just hiding.

i like the stealth aspects more than the run and gun, especially when it's no respawn and you're outnumbered, gets your heartrate up, just like classic SOCOM

yeah I love that too, but I keep seeing people just hiding not stalking anyone or anything.

if you're outnumbered it's definitely more wise to just hide and let them come to you, unless they plan on running the clock, usually bigger groups do the whole search party thing anyway

so is SOCOM pretty much a GRAW that's matured well? I've heard good stuff about rainbow six as a 3rd person but when I tried renting the new ghost recon to test the waters a while back it was totally shite

GRAW was strictly OTS though, SOCOM is more 3rd person, hopefully they'll be implementing the spectator camera as a player camera as well because everyone is asking for it on the forums, like the past games.

so you can flip to your team's perspective at will? sounds kind of pointless/time consuming if there's friendly indicators on-screen but then again the slowest multiplayer I've played is probably GoW.

I just beat Phantom Hourglass and it was pretty good. It's my least favorite Zelda but it's still a solid game.. I am now playing Rocket Slime and I can't get enough of it.

I've been using my 3DS just to replay DS games I never got to haha

no you cant see your teams perspective while you're playing. after you die you can follow a teammate around while they're alive. or stare at your corpse.

the camera angle while playing is just closer than in the other SOCOM's and people are complaining.

also, how come I mever realized Portal came out for ps3 in The Orange Box. gonna cop and beat that before I play 2 I think. 2 arrives Tuesday though. Amazon has a $20 back deal on it. pretty dope.

mine did a couple months ago, i would get it fixed or reapply the thermal paste yourself long enough to copy your shit, because it will keep happening, all of the fixes out there are temporary

Yeah i just picked up 4 haven't started it yet but 3 was a pretty amazing experience. What i love about the Yakuza series is that its so authentically japan from the Club Segas with UFO machines, only Japanese dub and, characters with a heart of gold.

Played 1-3, don't have 4 yet but will pick it up soon. I hate that in every game it's the same location, but there's always a shit ton of stuff to do so I'm okay with Sega taking my money.
