digi had these double cuffed; i was evoking urkel until i unrolled the hems once-----a single sesame seed fell on the floor; bagel concept?

nostalgia galore-----sugar cane were my first sufu-inspired denim purchase

and yeah, had to shelve the EVISU that i've been EDW (erry day wearing) since we got the jeans from the first DD+1 project (a single tear)

had to send a letter, return some books to the library and get some dr pepper (strong craving)

so yeah, first the library to return some books:

i have to go in the library through the handicap entrance

tough to navigate the stairs with the pram

while i was there (10 cent fine) i thought i'd borrow a few things for the baby and me. more on that later.

next, i thought i'd pick up a few kiwi's from the produce place nearby. five for a dollar. the place was vacant for a while but now it is a weird little market. :shrug:

finally, i went to the drug store to pick up the dr pepper. drank some, used the rest to force a patina on my case peanut (irrelevant/off topic).

so yeah, here's the haul (total cost $2.60ish):

i think i had it triple cuffed, things were really long

those kiwis are pretty good by the way

sliced them with my case peanut (i will post a pic later) to help develop the patina on the blades (and to get to the sweet interior of the fruit) and spooned it (the kiwi) into my faces

i can't live without them now

so yeah i had a mug of coffee and pushed the stroller around the neighborhood

first we stopped on the grounds of the long-demolished hohenadel brewery. even the "brewery gardens" that were on the grounds have been abandoned in recent years

then we crossed a pedestrian bridge over a bustling highway to a playground where i did a little swing pushing and such:

i had to get old-stock reynolds wrap; hard to find, harder to beat; these have the metal serrated cutting edge rather than the "ez cutter"; had to source these from the nearby bodega. wanted to get kitchen trash bags and jute twine but i only had four bucks:

fashion school kids abound (not vis)

had to return a DVD that i didn't have time to watch

i always borrow DVDs but i never get around to them

so yeah that library evokes the belly of a ship, no?

and i will add that last night i made my first tomato sauce

it was surprisingly easy

why do people ever buy the jarred stuff

one can of whole peeled tomatoes (28 oz)

one medium onion

olive oil

salt/pepper

sautee the onion in olive oil in a medium skillet for about 3 min

add the tomatoes (after dicing them)

add salt and pepper

cook over medium-high for 13 min

toss with pasta

garnish with basil and grated cheese

done
