Okay, i tried a quick searcch, but didnt find any suitable threads that really combine the best black denim models

I really only know of Nudie, Cheap Monday , but i find their denim quality questionable. I think APC used to make a black jean as well?

Right now im leaning towards Imperial Dukes in Black. But i saw the PBJ XX-005 Blk and it didnt look bad. I heard samarai has some good black denim as well.

So enlighten me on the topic, what should i be looking at? My price range is <$300

dont listen to dipsmack right above me...even though Diors are nice, no need to go googoo gaga over them.

i'd check out the Somet 008's, PBJ xx-005BK, Samurai s5000BK...and im sure plenty of people will add onto the list.

all depends on what fit you want, look more into those jeans and you'll figure it out.

i always thought diors were over-rated.

yeah im trying to get slimmer fitting jeans, not neccesarily painted on, but something slightly slimmer than the RRDS for example.

Im slightly worried being in Canada, since i cant try on Japanese denim, and also about getting raped at the border by customs, so any advice about that would be nice too

if skull ever makes the 5010xx 6x6 in black with a long inseam those will be the ones to own

if you really want imperial dukes in black, i suggest checking out the new imperials that have been coming out, i too wanted some but the pockets on the new models are just too huge and ugly imo

Does it matter to you what color the stitching is?

Eventhough I have my PBJ xx-005bk's, I'm sorta still on the look for black denim with either grey or black stitching.

I agree, what black denim have grey/white/black stitchings? any list is appreciated.

SOMET blacks are simply beautiful!

white stitching..

Similar thread over at Style Forum, when replying it occured to me just how many options there are......

Ianstarwars suggested these Black denime 66's

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/cpoint/483285/484864/

Samurai s5000bk, regular ( and will allways be regular, I sized down 2 and they are still regular sillouette ), awesome fade qualities, 17oz, hardcore jean.

Also samurai have mentioned on ringXring that a black 710 will be re-released this is slimmer tapering sillouette, whereas the s5000bk is a straight leg.

From saddlemen

http://saddlemen.net/jeans/sams5000bk.htm

PBJ XX005bk - slim low rise, slubby, sleek, orange and yellow stitching. Slim Straight leg, very tight around the thighs.

http://www.purebluejapan.jp/bottoms/02_5p/04xx005_shrunk_to_fit_black/

Maiden Noir - I still want a pair, they do black raw slim and regular. Ive yet to see any photos.

Dior, *sigh*

The Flathead, 3001bk, half selvedge, zip fly, slim fit!

On the site its called 4001bk, has the same sillouette as the 3001.

Top of page - http://www.flat-head.com/item-2006ss/item-trousers-2_2006ss.html

Somet, more fashion jean compared to sammies et al in my mind but beautiful, refined, with real nice finishing touches.... all in a slim regular fit.

005 (straight leg) and 018 (slim, thighs are darted) both low rise both black, both available from BIG - as are many brands..

Oni! - Do make a pair, in limited sizing, I posted a link in the oni thread, bears may be sold out by now. Blue fit, slubby.

Lad musician - Id like some, havent seen them on SuFu yet. Cheap too. dont expect selvedge...

Skull5010xx - these come in black, uberslim, button fly (?) i think... nice nice nice

http://www.fabfour.co.jp/netshop/babe/showcase/BB055.html

John Bull make some very cool, tapered, cinch back, selvedge ones... id like these AG011 - mojo jeans

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/tulsa/823763/809587/

Full count do make some black ones too, cant remember though.

Thanks sweetmofo

EdwinXMarios Schwab - slim to skinny, 31000yen, eek. Slimmest in the list I reckon.- I thought these would set Sufu on fire.

Tasuki ( at hinoya ) do black jeans, very very slim selvedge, like 18cm hem for a 32.... and 17oz denim, these are very s710bk esque.

45rpm Suminando Sorahiko

chantheman is selling some of these

Ironheart to BlackXblack and regular black denim.

http://saddlemen.net/jeans/jeans.htm#IRONHEART

Also as chantheman said Studio D'Artisan DP-292

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/cpoint/483286/484571/#439644

Nudie and APC and various other brands make black jeans, I dont know if any of em are selvedge or not though.

Also there are those yummy SDA's, god they look cool, the 103 slim cut, wow super nice, serious denim.

Basically I think if you're prepared to look abit and take your time searching the brands and rakuten etc you have many many options, im sure there are three times more options than ive actually listed - also use rakuten search! The shops ive linked are not the only places to sell these jeans.

Happy jean shopping ya convicts!!!! ;-)

because most of the time it doesn't look good. black jeans in general are not garmentdyed/overdyed.

Id love some overdyed/garment dyed slim selvedge jeans, cant think of any apart from the sexih things. Id also love some suminando sorahikos.....

Yeah, id like to see a list of true overdyed selvedge jeans.

I really want some black raw APC New Cures. Since those aren't available, can anyone recommend one of these other brands that is same/similar fit to New Cures? I like my NCs so much that I can't bear to wear anything else really...

thanks!
