arcteryx veilance

Recommended Posts

Im assuming that if you order direct from the Veilance site you will pay duty as its actually illegal for them to mark the package as gift and at a low value. I have to say i did a quick search and i found 3 Canadian shops all considerably cheaper and all who would mark the package down. My jacket arrived in 3 days, i paid zero duty and that cost me £70 less than the site.

As I said, Arc'teryx uses an interface in germany for international shipping so there is no duty to pay (it's already included in the price in fact)

as said above, arcteryx use a system where the price charged for the country you are ordering to represents the 'landed' price ie you will not be charged additionally for customs/duty etc as that is already covered, its a good system.

re if I prefer nomad to composite, personally I prefer the composite fit is better as is function, and I prefer the materials used,I agree with switch in terms of sizing I would normally be a medium in eu brands or a large japan and in the composite/align I wear a small

some nice shots of the isogon from silver and gold in japan, showing off the level of finish to the seaming, fabric on these is nice to,wind/water resistant with a nice hand to it.

Is the sizing for the field jacket the same as previous seasons? (Size down 1?) I'm really liking the look of this seasons jacket vs last seasons, might get one in the cirrus gray

need to find that isogon, in that colour, in small somewhere. anyone know if arcteryx' own webshop usually gets restocks of veilance products?

it tends to,a lot of where an item is not in stock near the start of the season is a case of it still being in production

Hanon have got them in but they are not on the website yet.

I got the isogon yesterday from Hanon. It is a thing of beauty. Very lightweight and seems to offer a decent level of protection against the wind and looks great when on. Seems to be a thicker version of the material used on the back of the composite jacket.

hanon shop is killing me with their new pieces. they got the isogon but the colour looks off compared to the eclipse colour from the veilance website. it should be the same though right?

for colour I would follow veilance website, the website represents all the colours produced for the season.

The veilance site is definitely a better representation of the colour than Hanon it is far more of a greeny blue/teal colour than in hanons pics.

anyone experienced the monitor hooded coat? as far as i understand from the pictures sleeves are pretty wide and haven't got cuff adjusters, right?

wouldn't say sleeves are wide, there is no cuff adjuster but the cuff is has a cut away so its slightly longer over top of your hand and then cut away round your thumb and is shorter on the inside where you would not need/want fabric on your palm,

make a cut on one side near the fastener and pull it from the other side.. all of it should come right off

I had one of the guys at the shop cut it off. It looks kind of shotty at first, but then you either forget it's there or the rest falls off with wear.
