Clothing for The Great Outdoors

What's everyone's opinion on Patagonia? I saw a really great what they consider to be a rain jacket in a store when I was in North Carolina. I really wanted to buy it, but just couldn't see myself spending $150 and tax, when I could just get it in NJ for $150.

Patagonia is very beloved in here in Germany. Never had the chance to get one, but I know several people relying on them.

Just got a fleece jacket from their final sale for 50, amazing quality.

Patagonia jackets have a lifetime warranty if you buy from authorized retailer. so if you ever have a problem with one of their jackets, like if the zipper breaks or if the waterproofing wears off, then they will replace it for free. Their products used to be manufactured in Canada but are now made in China. Fyi their outerwear runs a little big, if you're usually in between sizes then get the smaller of the two.

Just what I wanted to here. I've done my homework and discovered that there is an authorized retailer near school. It looks like I might be stopping in when I head down that way to do some school shopping. I also like the fact that they back it fully. Also, a medium is a medium with me.

no advice for you, but just wondering why you want to do this?

I want a big black backpack and can't find any one for less than 250.

I love mine but it has faded a bit and the bottom is stained. The grey THE NORTH FACE logo annoys me (same thing with the little reflective stripes) The interior lining has ripped (at the top) and I would need to waterproof it (I think I have the stuff for at home) and I like the waxing effect. So I was thinking about (over)dying the whole back black and applying some silicone to create a waxing effect (might only do this with the lower part).

steven alan hiking jacket

reminds me of the lad muscian green coloured mod-style jacket, but this one is a lot more muted and appropriate

shit is oversized as a mofo. i wear L in common american brands (gap/jcrew) and XL for the rest. some shit from brands like NDG don't even fit me. i tried this on and a M was a comfortable.

Cool pack up on Blackbird.

Fully-lined, wool and leather hiking-inspired backpack with waterproof zippers and silver metal clips. Inspired by author and naturalist John Muir, this unique bag's rugged construction and great detailing make it all kinds of functional and seriously cool-looking. Note: works great for bicyclists. Just ask our bike enthusiast model and salesguy, Tyler. He recently picked one up and thinks it's "the coolest." Made in collaboration with Masterpiece in Japan

Not so cool price.

ts(s): founded by Daiki Suzuki's brother. Number nine meets Engineered Garments.

See it for yourself. It sorta lacks originality but it seems more "sufu" than other nepenthes house labels like s2, eg, and needles.

Has anyone ever ordered a jacket from Crescent Down Works? They do custom orders, but only if you know exactly what you want, and they don't seem that excited about helping you out with questions. Any experience?

I tried to order a down vest from them two years ago but but seemed they didn't really need the business back then either.
