just washed my skulls..

these fucking jeans are falling apart everywhere...they are pretty fucking lame imo.....its too bad too, cause the fit, cut and detailing are all fantastic....the materials just cant keep up with eveyrthing else.

Are they falling apart from normal daily use or do you skateboard or something like that in them? How old are they?

For jeans, as far as I'm concerned, skateboarding should he considered "normal use." This is WORKWEAR. Sitting on grip tape is one thing, I don't normally do that, but just skating a few times a week for a few months should really not destroy a pair of jeans - not to the extent that my Skulls have fallen apart. I've had plently of other jeans - high and low end - that have held up much better - including all cotton repro bitches.

I know I've been ranting about in thread for a while - but I have to wholeheartedly agree with my boy Kix here again - these jeans suck balls.

I'll put up some pics of mine soon - and it isn't just the cotton thread that is busting apart, the denim is tearing as well.

Plenty of other people haven't had a problem with them - as is evident in this thread.

But mine are older - I got them in BiG's first shipment - many people here got theres more recently, I wonder if the quality has changed at all.

When I first got them home, looking at them inside-out and noticing that the stitching seemed really sloppy, not straight and in some places nearly coming undone - and it just got worse over time, and much worse after washing them.

My stitching and details are on point, but the 100% cotton threading does raise some red flags.

My right pocket has some stitching coming undone because my keys cut the thread from the inside of the pocket. Everywhere else seems to be holding up just fine, but I haven't worn mine nearly as long as Kix.

I skate in mine, even with the Sufu fit.

I've said it before... just buy the white ones and you'll be fine cuz you won't want to get them dirty. Wahahahahahaha...

damn... i just bought the 6x6 model... can we do anything abt it? like reinforcing it with normal polyester threads or something like that?

Btw, anyone with the 5010xx 6x6 model experiencing this?

Well... we can fix it with polyester thread when it brokes.

agreed with kix and gnar...ive been wearing mine (pretty hard but nothing i havent done in other jeans before) and they are just falling apart...im so sad they are fading so nicely and im in love with the fit...construction is really bad though

Knowing Skulls customer service, they would probably release a polycotton thread version of the 5010 soon

Thats weird....ive had my 5507s for as long as KIxslf, and I skate a few days a week and wear them often (not in the last week or so, but every week before it was everyday)

and I only have some slight fading down the legs but good stuff on the back pockets. They seem to have good stitching and arent falling apart or anything.

IT might be the model difference though since the 5507 isnt as tight...who knows

were yours the 6x6 though....? my one wash 5507xx and 5010xx arent fading anywhere near as fast as everyone elses raw 6x6 denim.

my skulls arent fading too much, which is how i'd like it to be. im putting most of my wear into my iron heart 634s. finally washed my new standards, ill post some pics when we get a day of sun here.

my 5507xx have faded a little bit, and shrunk back down slightly - drunken fools at my birthday party decided itd be a good idea to throw me in the pool, clothes, phone, wallet and all.

my 5507s are raw, but not 6x6. I kinda wanted a little more fading like around the combs, and after washing them yesterday they are starting to come around a little more.

I'm happy though, I like the jeans how they are, I just want a little more fading to give my jeans some character.

How would Skulls hold up if you don't really do strenuous work in them? I've looked around, and Skulls seem to be the fit I want the most, but I'm pretty worried about the whole ripping thing. I'd probably be getting the black version. Don't know about 6x6 or not, but I'm curious about how well the two models last.

Probably just everyday walking and travelling. I'm a student, so no real manual labor, and I have a seperate set of clothing for exercising.

They'll be fine. If people are skating in them and doing harder wear, I'd think that doing relatively nothing in jeans wouldn't do them any harm...

Finally bit the bullet and picked up a pair of one wash 5007's from BiG last week. just wanted a roomier jean for all of this hot weather we've been having.
