Looking to get another pair of black denim, the skulls have caught my attention.

5507xx or 5010xx? I'm looking for a fit a bit slimmer than my sized down sammies, but not PBJ 005 slimness. Research tells me to go for a sized down 5507xx, but I would like some opinions on those that got the 5010xx in their regular size. Or even better, those who own the PBJs and 5010xx.

even with the sizing chart i'm still iffy on buying a pair without trying them on. what jeans cut are the 5010xx 6x6 most close to? sorry if this has been asked already.

the advice i can give with sizing is listen to shinichi!

he reccomended a size 32, but i went to a 31 cuz i wanted something slimmer

now i have a rip in my crotch cuz they were too tight in certain areas

so whatever u do take the advice from the people that know (i.e. that work there)

ok so i think i made a bigger deal about antifit than need be, so i may get me some Skull's come march/april..the 5010xx will probably be too tight, whats the model that isn't as tight?

might want to look at the 5000xx or 5002xx. they are more like a 501 fit. not quite as skinny as the 5010xx. check out their website and bring up the size charts. measure your fav jeans u own and compare.

the 5010xx are MUCH slimmer than the pbjs.

unlike the pbjs there is no taper and the fit's quite constant from throughout.

I think Ramons would be much slimmer (they should fit about the same as the Linda).

I have the 5010XX 6x6, and I also bought the Johnny (which is supposed to be the same as the 5010XX, but felt slimmer in the leg).

I think the 5010XX is a little slimmer than a slim jim, particularly in the lower leg. Also it has a slightly lower waist.

(I think this is the case, I don't own any jims just trying to remember how they were the times I've tried them on).

So I think the 5010XX would be the way to go. If you want the ebony denim then you want the Johnny, but make sure you check those measurements carefully as mine turned out too small

Also I wasn't totally blown away by the ebony colour... but that's somewhat subjective. I think I might get the 5010XX in black for my next pair...

Anyone here got a pair of Acne Max jeans and know how they fit compared too 5010xx skulls? 32x34 seems to be the perfect fit for me in Acne Max, should I size one up or gamble on 32.

Hey captmomo! im trying deciding between 5010xx and a pair of PBJs. I didnt know that 5010s dont taper. Im kinda looking for something similiar to slimjims(i dont actualy know how they fit but i want somehting pretty straight legged )...i currently own SSKs..they fit fine but im looking for something less fitting. i was interested in the PBJs at first as i wanted a pair which was slim but no taper...i like it when its almost the same width throughout the leg. So any advice form owning both pairs?

echoing that similarity in the waist between nudies and skulls, but how did you size (up?) in order to slouch them?

the 5010xx are almost similar to the ssk i had. except fer the stiffer denim and higher waist. if you do want something looser, i would recommend the slimjims or new standards.

oh, and the pbjs taper is quite subtle. so you could consider that too.

The one-wash skulls will only stretch a few cm's in the waist.

anyway, black stretches out more than the indigos.

and yes, stretching is minimal. an inch max i reckon.

not stictly true i been wearing my one wash for 3 months straight now i had to do a few hot soaks to get waist size back as it stretched out,i have to wear a belt with these now or they will continually sag under my arse.id say at least a inch stretch in the waist on mine

One inch = 2.54cm. Not to be anal, but I'd say that's a few centimetres

Asides from the fact that black dye is completely different to indigo and naturally fades in a different manner, if you'd read this thread a few pages back you'd have found out that the black, brown and grey jeans are dyed in a different manner to the way indigo jeans are dyed.

Basically, don't buy the black if you're looking for 'killer fades', get the indigo 6x6. Get the black if you want a long lasting dark lustre.

my size 33 slim jims and 33 5010xx fit very closely in the waist, at least at the beginning, my slim jims stretched to 37 inches cuz i wore them under my ass.

and tweedles, i didnt size up at all, i just kinda wear my pants kinda low (to put it mildly)
