Dex_star, thanks for the compliment man! I got the one wash.

Now let me try to explain why most of us are going for the one-wash. You're right, sanforised denim will not shrink much, usually around 3% in the length and maybe less elsewhere.

However, if you look at the measurements for the one-wash and the non-wash, the non-wash is actually cut a lot bigger. Before I ordered mine (a 29) I wanted to get the Raw, but when shinichi sent through the measurements for a 29 in raw in measured somewhere between a 30-32 in different parts of the jeans.

So basically, the non-wash is cut bigger than the non-wash. They are meant to shrink down to size (even if it's only a little bit, like a cm or two in the thigh or calves or something).

In this sense, there is a lot less risk in buying the one-wash as it is cut just as written in the sizing chart. No shrinking to worry about. All you gotta do is measure your body.

Too much risk for the non-wash: it could shrink too much to be too small, or too little to be too big... it's just a lot more hassle.

And, the one-wash fades just as good (as you can see from my pics :))

Hope this helps you and anyone else who is wondering.

I thought the non-wash was supposed to be just one size bigger, accoring to the the fabfour site at least?

I'll make sure to ask for some measurements on 28 non-wash before ordering, when I finally get my hands on a creditcard.

Hopefully I'll receive word from my host-family (during 2005) soon, on whether 2007 will be a good time to visit them or not. If so, I'm definately going to visit the Skull store in Osaka. Especially now Shinichi mentioned there´s free coffee!

I'd also like to make a stop in Tokyo and get Shinichi-san's autograph.

That would be fantastic, I wanna marry Razor Ramon, or at least be his sidekick, Soft Lesbian.

Should´ve realized this sooner, but if they were named after Razor Ramon, they would´ve been made out of leather.

Soft Lesbian, that reminds me of the skinny host who claimed to be Soft Gay. Perhaps you still have a chance with him.

ninjapie, yeah that's what I originally thought too. But when I compared the actual measurements it seemed a bit all over the place... not just one size bigger all over...

Here's the one-wash charts:

Skull 5010XX and 5010XX 6x6 size chart:

measurements.jpg

And here's a quote from an email shinichi sent me:

Measurement of 5010XX 6x6 NonWash 29inch

(*this is theory value)

Waist 80.0

Total length 113.5

Inseam 91.5

Front rise 24.5

Back rise 34.5

Thigh (x2) 27.5

Bottom opening (x2) 18

Hip(x2) 46.5

If you compare these measurements to the one-wash chart, clearly the raw is not just one size up

Great fit Lowrey.

okay one more sizing question! I read all the pages I promise. Im planning on getting the 5507 and the one wash size 29 says it's 70 cm or 31 inches in the waist. Sounds perfect as I plan on wearing these on the hips and mine are 31 inches (waist is 30). Still, I see nemoulette returning his when he sized down. My normal size is 30. Whats the deal? Should I stick with 30 even thought the chart says size 30 is a little over 32 inches?

ANNNDD, is the 5507 a zipper fly rather than button? Thank you!

fuck. Now i really want a pair of these after i wash my LVC's in january. I was gonna wait until i went to self edge but these are making me change my mind.....if i wear a 32 in diors, should i get a 32 in skulls.

depends how tall you are i guess,if your 6ft plus and like dior stacking look these wont work for you, until thjey run the extra long inseams,i personally prefer these to my jp 19cms cut wise and i actually now love the short inseam nice change to my style but i look forward to having a 36+ inseam to have stacking aswell.personally i dont have a bad word to say about theses jeans they are fantastic!id buy these over diors and enjoy the 100 i saved aswell

After seeing the fit of the 5507s, I am getting ancy to pick some up as well. Seems like a good price for them as well.

Does the black denim tend to run a little smaller than the raw?

kix-I think Lowrey wears a 31 in Dior but has a 32 in the 5507... (I'm assuming they're 32 because that is what the label looks like...).

they will stretch a few cm's, so choose based on that. I compared the waist size to a worn in pair of jeans I have, and got a size that was a couple of cm smaller in the waist. they then stretched to the right size.

yea I wear 31 in dior and APC and 32 in the skulls. they might be just a bit looser, or maybe the denim is a bit lighter so they give in a bit more. but quite close to the sz smaller in Diors.

plus because of the zipper it might be harder to size down too, buttons are easier when your trying to do heacy stretching :P

none of you guys have a credit card?

I'm 17 so over here I'm not legally allowed to own a creditcard yet and nor will any bank or creditcompany provide me one. For some (good) reason (probably) everyone in my family feels pretty awkward about using creditcards online.

As soon as I turn 18 I'm going to get one, mainly for usage in Japan though. During my last visit I had to take cheques with me and withdraw money from my account at international banks at crazy exchange rates. Of coure, I will also use it to order something online, occasionally.

lots of highschool/middle school noobs..

I attend University.
