For those on a budget at the monent, like me, Gap have their special edition shirt of a few months back on sale for £15, around $22 I guess, at the Oxford Street Branch. A few S, lots of M and L left, I downsized to S.

Speaking of Gap (for the Poors on sufu), what do you guys think of this chambray pullover? To cop or not to cop...

I like pullover tunic type shirts. My two LVC shirts are similar and I think they are a great addition to a wardrobe. Many times though they need to be worn slightly "oversized" to be able to comfortably get in and out of.

Hey borkborkbork, I saw that yesterday at the store, I like it enough to want it when they put it on sell real good (as they usually do), however be aware that this particular one is not so much a chambrey shirt (though it is called that), to me it's real close in texture to a poplin rather than chambrey. Gap do have some nice workshirts in a true chambreys material right now though that I'd pick before this one. The one's I'm waiting to go on sell is the tan workshirt and the grey one - I got too many in blue already.

I bought the LVC Bunkhouse chambray shirt that was "finished" (ie, nearly destroyed) and was a US-exclusive a season or so before they released a similar shirt in both finished and raw versions over in Europe (must have been 05-06). Mine is made in the USA, and I absolutely love the cut and construction details, but the fact that it's so worn and the fabric is almost dry-rotted has become a huge turn-off. I still wear it occasionally, but I wish LVC would have made it available in a more "unfinished" version. I purchased their striped Sunset from last season and really like it too.

just copped the gap chambray on asos... we'll see how it is. for 20something why not.EDIT:

SON OF A B. guess not. i guess they don't ship GAP stuff to the USA.fail.

Hey Chris, what was the issue ? Were you able to submit the order then get a message or what? I added one to my cart to get a total, it came to $24 w/shipping to the USA. I didn't complete the order 'cause like I said too many blue work shirts already. But it didn't seem to be a prob to that point.

ok everyone, I thought I'd try some of the normal people work shirts and FYI, the "KEY INDUSTRIES" LS chambray fits about a size larger than tagged.

S = M. etc.

just received it today and to my dismay, too big for me. if anyone wears a M and wants it, PM me. I got it for 20$ + $9 shipping, so if you're in the USA paypal me $29 and it's yours.

I had the worst dream last night! I dreamed that we were doing a thrift clothing sale for charity at work, and the boss asked me to hang my workshirts on the wall to spice things up a bit. I left for a while, and when I came back they had all been sold! And probably for $5 a piece! I think at this point I started yelling at my boss and saying not so nice things. His response was something like, "Well, I buy all my shirts at Wal Mart for ten bucks a piece." It took me a while to calm down after waking up.

I have that dream., where my son sells my 50s Tele, old radios and mezzotints and gets just enough to buy a Nintendo Wii.

I think he has that dream, too .

i compared the measurements, only difference i could find was the navy sleeve being 0,5" shorter.to me they both fit identical.

as with all Buzz gear i got so far, attention to detail and quality is out of question.

Those are some nice lookin shirts. I like the brown one simply because it isn't blue. I have so many (too many) blue shirts and I definitely need some brown. I always balk at getting stuff not indigo dyed, because I have the feeling (may be incorrect though) that it won't "age" well. I just need to bite the bullet and get the brown mock twist shirt. Where did you get them from?

I have a very similar shirt from Stevenson Overall company, but it is a red salt and pepper fabric. I really need to post some pics of some of the shirts I have accumulated over the past couple of years.

I have a beautiful freewheeler stifel polkadot shirt that blown my mind away every time I look at it.

wow those freewheeler shirts must be great. where did you ordr it ?

I had to proxy from banana fish, I believe. They are really nice, but waaay too expensive. I don't recommend anybody spend that much money on a shirt, unless it is exactly what you want. For me, it looked like a pretty exact replica of stifel fabric. The stifel fabric wasn't denim-like, which I think the similar sugar cane and flathead shirts are closer too, but a 1 by 1 weave similar to a chambray.

The way they dye the fabric is pretty cool as well. I believe they weave the fabric with white cotton fibers and put an indigo repellent where the design should be, so for polka dots they put the indigo repellent where the dots are. They then dip the fabric in indigo and the indigo sticks where it is suppose to and doesn't stick where the repellent is. Pretty cool process. Well anyways, from the pictures the freewheeler looked like the most accurate fabric from any "conductor" style shirt I have ever seen. Also, since the fabric is dipped, the entire fabric is extremely stiff and makes for a garment that "crocs" well, even though it is somewhat thin.
