I stay on Tumblr waaay too much. Aha.

just a bit of an advice, you should remove the autoplay on your bottom music bar. it's really annoying that it plays every time i change page while i'm already listening to music. oh and maybe make the "next" a little bit more obvious, it took me a while to find it ;)

oh and if everyone blogged only their things or only blogged stuff that they know the original source of, then there wouldn't be that much blogs. though that would change everything.

to me too. but still, not saying that because i have one of those full of reblogs usually originalsourceless tumblr, but tumblrs aren't all bad and it's quite entertaining to browse the dashboard with cool pictures and all.

what are some of your guys' favorite tumblrs? i seriously don't follow too many people at all. my favorite ones are my friend eddie's (http://comolosolivos.tumblr.com/) who's flooding his page with all his artwork and this girl danielle (http://deedoubleyou.tumblr.com/) who lives in the netherlands doing like a 365 photoblog but i think her pictures are cute and her stories about her day are kind of entertaining.

ejm285's is always awesome, and so is freecat's (despite its originalsourcelessness). oh yeah and larssss' motivational monday posts are awesome.

My opinion on reblogging...

Sometimes I think it's enough to be a kind of blog digest, sifting through many many blogs and tumblrs and picking out the best of the bunch and re-presenting those posts to people. I reblog quite a bit but I reblog a MINISCULE amount of the imagery that I see on a daily basis. I basically only reblog what I consider the best of what i've seen that day/week.

I think as a blogger/tumblr-er it's easy to forget that most people don't use the internet to the extent that we do. Something may be old news to you, and have been seen on 10's of other blogs but for someone looking at your tumblr, that may be the first time they've seen it.

I suppose I'm also of the opinion that tumblr is not particularly the format best suited to new, self produced content. It seems to me that it's an online scrap book and as such is best suited to "superficial" content.

hi as the subject says,

i just discovered ohwrd tonight. thru fffffound. i just went thru 138 pages, back to november 4th.

i don't think i've ever actually sent an e-mail like this but i/the vodka.red bull felt compelled to. your style and inspiration is beyond cool. it's pretty much identical to mine, minus those black haired blue eyed girls. there's really not a whole lot to add to this i guess. if you're friends with even half of the hot ass broads you post seeming to know, can we hang?

Edit, just went through here and added a bunch of y'all that I consider myself to be e-friends with/have a good report with/admire. Follow back.

Also, on the subject of original content, my old blog was mostly reblogging, but in a pretty esoteric, wannabe artsy way, wherein I felt the images spoke for themselves, and each one was supposed to look like a frame from a movie that never was.

This new one is more like a typical tumblr, except with few reblogs, and mostly content taken from other places. Basically inspired by a combo of ymfy and secret indictments, which are two of the best blogs I've seen.

On the other hand, even though I've followed y'all, I hope to get most of my content from outside of the tumblrsphere, because that makes it much more interesting, I think.
