I've recently been enjoying drawing a bit again (art school made me hate it).

The main thing with drawing is just that you have to do it as much as possible and while I'm already trying to keep up doing atleast one drawing a day I figured it be good to practice drawing random different subjects aswell.

Inspired by the BookClub thread and to keep at it and stay motivated I thought it'd be nice if we would pick one subject a week and do a drawing on that, to be finished and posted within the week, people can give feedback and constructive criticizim on it and after that someone else picks another subject.

All techniques allowed except for straight up tracing photo's.

Some things that I think would be nice to include:

• estimate of time spend
  
• what programs/techniques/materials used
  
• whether or not you used a picture as a reference

Finally, keep the final image within sufu standard size, nobody likes sidescrolling!

2. Week #33: People/things wearing gasmasks (Inspiration)
   
3. Week #34: As Jeepster put it: "Devils, Christian idolatry, sort of odd good/evil kinda pics"
   
4. Week#35: Zombies
   
5. Week#36: Cowboys & Indians
   

Future Subject Suggestions:

Sea turtles, Pirates, pornography, 2-d Qees, eachother, The Ultraman monster Kanegon, something denim, rachel ray, self portrait, something very tiny around your house (like a toy car), zombies, sex(open to artist interpretation), psycho clown(s),

I'm down. Lets draw dinosaurs. Seriously. I can draw up a mean stegasaurus. Question though, would we drawing from our head or from a subject/picture?

as long as this isn't too serious (i suck at drawing and never had the willpower to get into it so far) i'm down.

Ofcourse it's not too serious, I figured it be a fun way to practice a bit (for me atleast).

And while I'm a big dinosaur fan I'm not so sure about that as a first subject.

Also, if you can basicly draw everything from your head you should by all means, if not, the best way to learn is to look at other things no? So yea, use pics for reference, as long as you don't simply trace them in photoshop...

Now, for coming up with what to draw I'm still sort of clueless, what would people like to try to draw, well besides dinosaurs?

Apples?

Umm I might be totally missing something here but why is our first week week #32? Doesn't bother me or anything I just wanna know. Oh and can we draw prehistoric fish too? There's this nasty looking bugger I saw that I wanna sketch out.

what are some good cheap pens to draw with? all i ever use are bic ballpoint pens (because most of my drawing is done during boring lectures), i figure if i'm really going to put some work into this, some pens that are actually made for drawing might be nice.

well you are infact missing a crazy obvious answer, there are 52 whole weeks in a year, any agenda or calender will tell you that we are currently in the 31st week and that the 32nd week starts on monday the 4th of Aug.

Hence week 32...
