I just started going to the gym at school. It's brand new and has great hours (6AM -11PM Sunday-Thursday, 6AM-9PM Friday and 9AM-4PM on Saturday) and also is brand new. They have been build an entire new Atheltic center over the past couple of years from what I understand and the gym opened over the summer and it is just great.

I'm still a light weight when it comes to lifting, 15 lb freeweights, 25 lb bar and roughly 30 to 70 on the machines (depending on if it's legs or arms). I hope by the end of the semester to be at least 10 lbs above where I currently am.

Also, does anyone have any tips or routines for beginners? Basically everyone keeps to themselves and doesn't offer to help anyone and I searched the web for any routines, but nothing comes up and there isn't a "trainer" per say to help me get started.

Go to bodybuilding.com and check out beggining routines, and check out their instructional videos on proper form for lifts. It may save you from an injury. Likewise check out their nutrition section, if you dont eat right you wont build anything

I also dropped you a pm...

back on keto since tuesday

this has been puzzling me for a while. keto guidlines say you subtract carbs by the fibre content of foods and that is the carbs that is counted in your diet but what is up when the fibre content is higher than carb content and it also clearly states there's sugar in it. how do u note down the carb content on these foods?

e.g. my almond packet labels 4.3 grams of carbs (4.2grams of which are sugar) for every 100grams while there is 9.1grams of fibre for every 100 grams. so should i count in the carbs when i eat these or not or is there some different way of classifying the intake like the sugar content has to be counted so in this case, if i ate 100grams, i have to note down i took in 4.2grams of carbs in that one go (the 0.1 gram of other carb is treated as part of the fibre)?

Can't say exactly what you're looking at, but there would be a difference between a nutritional label with the term net carbs (ie sugar + starch + fiber) and one that says total sugar, total fiber. If you're looking at something that says 9g fiber and 4g sugar, the 'subtraction' has already been done for you.

I keep a solid couple of songs in my ipod for when I am busted at the gym or I need a big asskicking for a heavy lift. Its those few songs that have beats that make you become an animal when your hitting plates

I dont play them very often ( so as not to wear them out) I save them for dire lifts. Share some of yours, as I am in need of a few new ones

My faves

Wish - Nine Inch Nails

Hey Man Nice shot - Filter

More Human Then Human - White Zombie

Till I Collapse - Eminem

Were In This Together - Nine Inch Nails

Brand not so much as what it contains

It all depends on the quality of the protein : Isolate, Concentrate, %100 isolate, Blend ect

What they have up for sale gets you 27 grams of pure protein per 30 gram dosage, that is %100 isolate ( the best) and a phenomenal deal ,snatch that shit up quick.

how 2 do one arm pushups???

effective workout or not

Awesome, I have to make that my avatar ( always wanted a moving avatar)

Not really that great for triceps, and it can be really hard on the wrists. Close grip bench or heavy skull-crushers are a far better excescersise for tricep growth, that and weighted dips
