i rep for peoples fashion mainly due to the fact that I am on a fashion community forum. i also rep for help, funny stuff, when people buy my shit, when i buy peoples shit and it is cool and they are cool, when i decide i like people.

As long as it adheres to rough Superfuture guidelines (incorporates any of the following: Selvage, Cloak, Supreme, Visvim, aged leather, etc.) at least one asshole will rep the outfit, thus creating overconfident douchebags like Jackphotography typing up a storm every ten minutes like anyone gives a flying fuck what they have to say.

this is partly a shopping/fashion forum yes? If u ask me posting pictures of ur personal style is a legitimate way to gain rep.

i mean, I enjoy reading supertrash as much as anyone else & a lot of ppl on here add a lot by being humorous, so im not putting that down in any way... but from my perspective this forum is mainly about clothing and.. well... having an understanding of fashion and a knack for dressing yourself shouldnt be looked down upon.

i dont want to seem cavalier but a lot of ppl here dont have that, they r just witty and gain rep through being funny. which isnt rlly a bad thing but imo shouldnt be the main priority in a (as i said) forum about shopping/fashion :X

like a few others have said already, WAYWTs are probably the most relevant reps on the forum. if you are on a fashion oriented forum, should you be well known for being fashionable, or for being witty? not that WAYWT should be the end-all-be-all rep getter, but really i would hope that on a board like sufu, there should be some correlation between the green bars and the person's actually ability to discern what looks good and what doesnt. and that means not just within their own genre, goth ninja or streetwear or whatever, but be able to differentiate where a person is coming from and recognize what is good. basically, if someone who is immensely popular here is giving me advice on what im wearing it's comforting to know they arent just an e-talking sack of shit

I'm not saying it is central to your existence and there are more variables at play here but what if someone who's opinion you hold in high esteem tell you you're well dressed or a complete stranger tells you the same, doesn't that feel a little bit good? Same can happen online, no? I know it's cool to say you're absolutely not influenced or affected by the opinions of others but that's impossible and actually harmful for your social interractions. I don't jerkoff to my rep comments but if I read a cool/funny/flattering one I like it, especially if I like/met the person, especially if it has to do with me posting pics of naked chicks.
