The amount of reputation that the person who repped you has accumulated determines the amount of rep that they impart to you. Users with 0 or negative reputation points give grey boxes, which bear no effect on your reputation, while users with e-peens of hyperpornstar proportions can potentially knock blocks off of your peen. I don't know the exact numbers, but it's around 100-150 per block on the peen.

Haha, now that I'm looking, I see that people will rep me and then ask a question along with it. So I have months of accumulated out of context questions for me in my supertalk.

I would just send a PM to that person, because more likely than not the repper doesn't deserve a rep back. I personally don't neg rep back either, because I think it shows some insecurity if you take the whole reputation thing so seriously as to look up their profile, find a recent post that's worth making a comment on, and negrepping it.

Hopefully that clears some things up. Get your e-peen on!

Or add blocks; I had like 8 rep before just one + from sidneylo...went up to like 130 and two green boxes. Also, I just discovered that if you hold your mouse over someone's repbar/e-peen, a message pops up saying something like "______ has a reperection." For red rep, it's something like" ______ is forum vermin." hahaha and for darkadious, it just says "darkadious," like that's all you need to know.

i think one light green block is 100 points one dark green block is 200 points and the max that shows is 5 light 6 dark. anything above that doesnt show under their username, but can still effect how many points they give you if they were to rep you.
