1st, you can start by wiping off the toothpaste / soap stains off of your mirror before posting.

2nd, don't flash in the mirror -- i know you didn't in this case, but just saying.

3rd, the flash button on canon cameras are usually located on one of the "crosshair" buttons. press it a few times when you find it to change the settings..
