Those are awfully light...

welcome back?

They aren't really that light. It's hard to show the exact tone of the denim in photographs. I tried to show some flash, some natural light photos. I guess you'd just have to see them, but the indigo is definitely gone in a few places for sure...

These had stretched so much that I had to wash them to shrink them up.

I didn't want to initially, but they were really baggy. I decided that as long as I was going to wash them earlier than I had planned, I might as well achieve as much change as possible, both color-wise and size-wise. So I washed them in hot, long cycle. Hang to dry.

They shrank a full two sizes. Exactly what I wanted. And I'm quite pleased with the color.

These were size 30/32 and had stretched to 32 waist. Their post wash measurements are

W- 30

Thigh- 22

KNee- 16

Hem - 17

Inseam - 30.5

I've been told that Nudies don't shrink lengthwise - but from your post that would appear to be incorrect. If I stretch the legs while damp, should I be able to avoid the shrinking?

Yeah- you should be able to at least minimize the amount they shrink lengthwise by yanking on them while they are wet. You'll probably still experience some shrink, but not as much as I did.

This Denim Mr. Diamonds Grifters are made from is different than my new stuff. It was from an old supplier and they never carry much stock and don't really specialise in denim, (carry more knits etc) they only had about 60m in stock which was lame. They are also really overpriced and I try to avoid them whenever possible for trims, thread etc too. I kinda like that denim though, very streaky.
