yeah, the angle wasnt very good im afraid. its more of a straight legged jean than what the pictures would lead you to believe. i would recommend that people buy a pair if they can, the construction and fit are remarkable for the price.

yeah, the color and wear on those is amazing but they look wide like jncos from that angle.

imperials and apc's looking good. between the last 6 months I've had with my rb'11s and now with the contest sammys I hate that I havn't gotten to wear light wash jeans in forever... all in good time I suppose, all in good time.

You're right. I'm not sure why, but I don't tend to get much fade in the thigh area.

Calatrava, how did you wash them?

well the first time was a soak to get rid of the sizing, then an inside out wash with the machine in cold water. this was at 6 months.

then at 9 months i did another cold soak inside out, with some normal washing powder.

nothing really special, just hard wear

im so glad u posted pics of those eternals, I meant to pm you to ask about em but never got round to it. They're coming along nicely, they look very blue, have you washed em or soaked em at all or are they one wash??? Some threads and bears photos give me the impression thy're so drenched in indigoey goodness they look blackish, yours look real blue though. Looking good!

edit- I must say this is an awesome page of fades, the 2apcs and these and whatnot look really nice.

They are one wash, i have not soaked/washed anything. They used to be very, very dark like they look on the Bears page, but as you wear them they get visibly bluer and bluer. I suspect this is because of the vertical falling being so intense.

My Edwin ed-47 worn a couple of times every week since july-05 (16 months)

Pre-wash

The front creases look kinda artificial. I "helped" them out a bit in the beginning but then they just faded that way. Im still happy with the way they turned out.

are those the rainbow selvage versions? My first dry pair were the non selvage, greycast versions and the fade was amazing (even after only 3 months of wear). The fit is pretty amazing for skinny guys... just wish the rise wasn't so low

edwin def makes some very underrated jeans imo. PLus their pocket stitching is awesome.

Yeah they are the selvage version. Edwins are definetly nice. Not as nice as the japanese brands but a good choice. The rise isn't as high as it should be though.

the thing that gets me about edwin's back pocket stitching is it's resemblance to american eagle jeans. a friend of mine just got the rainbow selvedge ones, i'm sure he'll be excited to see these

Berget, those Levi reds have the tapered legs? I think it's called champagne flute legs...? Or is it the angle?

Im not really sure. I think they have a slight taper. But with the twisted legs it looks more tapered than it really is.
