For you guys that want the SNES emulator - it's SNESmulDS - the list links to the site to download it. The files need patching, but there should be a FAQ on the wiki on how to patch the files.

Maybe it was Ike..cuz they both have similar attributes in terms of their attacks(and looks)..So it's like Ike is just a marth clone..

But regardless, if thats the case then Will, you're getting ur ass handed to you by Ike.. Strikers i dont have unfortunately, but when it comes to futbol..i +rape...

I'm just wondering how good you guys really are.. Do you guys play at local tournaments or smashfests? I've been itching for some competition -- last smashfest I went to was like 4 years ago (I was in 7th grade, and it was a schoolnight, about an hour away.. but it was worth it-- I beat Ken's Fox with my Yoshi ). Hopefully you guys are capable of shffling, teching and wavedashing and whatnot.. cuz if so, supersmash meetup in socal?

Also, from what is shown of Ike, its safe to say he more closely resembles Roy. His sword is bigger and heavier, and he has some fire attacks too.

Roy= Marth= Ike..Thats how i see it.

Because from melee, roy closely resembled marth, the only difference being that roy's attacks had more power and more delay imo..and of course the flaming sword..whereas marth had more agility, better swordplay less delay and his range was nuts..

If nething, Ike is a mock of both..Lets hope they did it right though..cuz he looks very promising, same with Icarus..

As for smash tourneys, i dont really go to ne but ive been playing smash bros since the original so i can do wavedashing i can do chain grabs, etc etc

^ ah cool, i still fire up the ole n64 at school with the buddies. However Roy and Marth differ not only in the points you mentioned but in their weight, traction, and moves (they look exactly the same but they have way different physics, knockback, etc). Roy is heavier than Marth, meaning he's less floaty and as a result can't pull off an aerial game like Marth does. Marth can double shfair but it takes Roy a full jump to accomplish the same thing.. and since he's more floaty, Marth can DI out of combos/throws easier. Anyway you probably have enough experience to get my point -- hopefully Ike would play more like Marth, but based on his build, sword and use of fire attacks I think he would be more of a Roy reincarnate. As for Pit, I think he might be a more accurate reincarnate of Marth in terms of floatiness and traction, but I'm sure he'll have a much smaller range and grab reach. This is offset however by the fact he has a projectile with controllable trajectory AND multiple jumps.

I just hope Captain Falcon makes a return -- since he was in the original SSB and there are already assist trophies related to F-Zero, I think it's safe to assume the Knee will be back.

EDIT: will i am, I'm kinda bummed about ZSS only being playable after a Final Smash. Unless theres a way to pick her from the character screen optionally, ZSS won't be seeing competitive play if Brawl tournaments are played with the same rules as Melee.

i just have a feeling that ppl r going to spam Pits arrow attacks...as for falcon,that bastard better make a return.. I personally luved him in the original but i think they turned him down a notch in melee because his knee would destroy all of mankind..

Ganon was surprisingly good in melee, but Hal got lazy and just put a falcon clonage on em...It wouldve been wicked to see Ganon with his own attack attributes..He'd honestly destory dudes.. Wario is just another game & watch..

And i really hope that Snake doesnt turn out to be a ganon/falcon clone either..

Edit: Personally, Id say im real good with falco as ive been using him since day one.. But pulling off wavedashes with him is so utterly annoying cuz its so damn hard sometimes... so i use Marth now as my main and falco/Peach as backup.. Speaking of peach, they'd better give her better attacks this time..i got sick of the Down+b..it was a useless attack imo..same with the frying pan ish

^ uh.. Peach's attacks are probably the best in the game without being broken. Everything works well together.. Her down+b is nowhere near useless -- there are so many manipulative uses of the turnip.. not only for damage, but for setups, spacing, mindgames and stun... her f-smash isnt that great, but the whornado and fthrow are good enough.

shit my bad, i didnt mean her down+b, its the attack where she pulls out toad..It leaves u open for a beating.. Now i shouldnt have said it was useless as it somewhat is cuz u can catch ppl off guard with it if ur careful. I do agree that her attacks are good, but i wouldnt say her attacks are the BEST overall in the entire game.. Her delay is wicked though cuz she gets out of attacks rather quickly compared to everyone else..The frying pan attack just get rid of it, i usually prefered her golf club swing only because it sends u flying forward which then gives me the opportunity to grab and combo and repeat..

Her floating though i luv to death though lol..i catch so many ppl with that its crazy..

For me, i personally think marth has some of the best shit in the game and this isnt from a biased standpoint.. His wavedashing is great and his grabs are super quick.. his swordplay can be deadly once mastered and his aerial's r ridiculous..

If you were to put marth up against peach, marth would defenitely cremate her imo.. But then now we'd be getting into the whole tier lists and shit which complicates things

^^ Ive never lost to a peach yet, which is probably why im boasting it so much..

But from peaches perspective, she's defenitely a tough competitor..Maybe it's just me and the fact that im not as great with peach as i am with marth or falco so im basing my judgement around my own game plan..

no seriously, that game is worth every penny.. +10 meaning 11/10..i luv it.. The gameplay is unmatched..Id say its the best fighting style game for the ds..

Unfortunately its only avaliable in japan due to liscensing issues with the different animes so the only way you can get it is through play-asia.com or ebay it( which i did).. The whole basis of the game is that its a free for all but you use what you call Komas (or decks) to build your team.. You have support Komas, Help Komas, Attack Komas.. Each Koma has their own ability. Support Komas are sort of like backup attackers.Help Komas give your main attack Koma extra health ( especially if the attack koma and Help koma are from the same anime/manga series) ..Shit this explaination could go on for a while...

just look up the game lol..it sounds complicated at first, but once u start playing it, you'll be locked on it

Anyone playing the newest Phoenix Wright? It isn't coming out in the US for a month or so, but the Japanese ROM has an english option, which is basically the english version of the game.

Anyone play Rune Factory yet? I played and enjoyed the original snes harvest moon but none of the others. This seems like good fun though. I'm debating on whether i should get that or just buy all the downloadable DS hacking stuff and then start playing nes, snes, gba and ds roms on my DS. I was thinking of playing DQIV since i never got it in cartridge form when it came out back in my younger days.

Fallen Angels- DQIX was pushed back (what else is new for the series?) to 2008 in japan which probably means a 2009 release for the US gamers. FFIV has a late 2008 chance.

Also, mother 3 should be fully translated and playable by november/december so i'm going to need an r4 and the rest of that stuff by then. I hate playing rpg roms on my computer.
