Trying on thom browne stuff in barneys for fun was the worst thing i ever did. Stay away. Nice stuff but sooo much money. I want to just jack a suit and some shirts one of these days. I can run fast

i hear ya man. the shirts fit perfectly and were kinda reasonable ($150 for an oxford) but the suits are just unbelievable (style and price). really nice touches too. if that shit wasn't on the 3rd floor and only accessibly by an elevator, i woulda been ghost.

his main boutique is right next to my office in tribeca. i might need to make an appt there one day but i'm too scared to even try that shit on.

well i'm not sure wher you can get them now as they prolly sold out in most if all sizes. The ones i saw were in 34 so way to big on me. That was at violengreen in Brisbane, i can't remember how much sorry.. Yes they are beat poet.. check out thier stockists on thier website and send some emails.

The quality was pretty good as well. The fit was short legged, hmm i don't know how to say but yeh they were cut short on the ankles so if you wore with some low cut shoes you could see some leg.

whats the word for this? cropped?

What that be and what the pricepoint? The neck looks pretty functional. Probably getting it on sale considering the season (unless you're an aussie bastard)

I am a suit virgin.

That being said, I need promwear like every other underaged loser here. I intend to get a nice mtm for business opportunities in the future (likely from Thick as Thieves). In the meantime, I have a budget of ~$200 to get something nice for prom that I would be able to use for other occasions until I get the mtm.

This: Zara $200 suit or That: H&M $200 suit or other?

The big plus to Zara is that there is one in Atlanta and I don't have to risk waiting to check H&M when I'm in nyc (for the prom).

Oh, and no tuxes, school is of the nontraditional no-formal type.

EDIT: And upon looking at the last few posts, I'm terribly sorry to interrupt the denimboning, but this is srs biz, thx!

a 3 piece set from zara will run you from the 200's - 300+ tax

but i think zara has a better feel to them as opposed to h&m.

Its a hare miliatary trench (i believe its from a few seasons back but not sure) the price is about 125 dollars shipped to the USA. As long as the neck is functional im down to kop it. Its very attractive to me but i dont want it to obstruct my forward neck movements.

It's not made of steel or anything. I'm sure you'll be able to move fine. At the price, if you need a coat like that, you may as well. Unless you wanted to save up and grab something when the new fall stuff comes out.

not sure.. but yeah? looks like a good piece for upcoming fall but im not sure about the front. (the neck area)

yeh mang get this, for 125 thats seems pretty good, unless it is second hand. I'm guessing it is just a light cotton/canvas trench so it wouldn't inhibit shit.

I see what u mean. I was wondering if these could do the trick/ look like "proper frames". Apparently you don't think so. The thing is the're cheap. Don't want to put too much bones in things I'll wear 4 days max a month (when I don't wear my contacts...). oh well

sure you can get them.. but they wont be in "fashion" 6 months ish from now.

i cant pinpoint what the new thing everyone will be hyping up. but you'll just look outdated very soon.

buy at your own risk. the eyewear fashion will change soon. mark my words.

They oversized, but I like the look. Similar to the way my RGeller glasses fit me. I'd say go with them, but it's just an opinion.

Also, you look nothing like I expected.

those robert geller glasses are ace, still waiting for them to hit ourspot

didnt like the RG glasses that much when I tried them on... The frames need to be slightly taller, or the bridge area wider...
