ive been seeing both new and vintage variations popping up on avant kids and irony loving scenesters for a few months now. and it seems a lot of designers are getting ready to fully embrace the acid. i never thought i would see pinrolling return either but it goes to show if you wait long enough everything comes back around.

so, keep it buried or bring it back?

if anyone needs a reminder (or wasnt there the first time around kids) as to how bad it can get, here are some levi's 550 (loose tapered) i found at the salvo a few months ago.

Great thread Cult!...I've been on the hunt for a pair of nice fitting acid washed jeans for over a year now!...I had an old pair of acid washed levis 501's tapered but they still fit strange...I'm just paitiently waiting for the day that Julian Red or April 77 comes out with their acid washed line

i'm actually kinda shocked that julian red hasnt done them yet. i can see april 77 doing some bootboy style bleach spots but acid wash seems to go against their punk/teddy boy/ rockabilly/ mod vibe a bit too much. and cheap monday did a pair last season i think.

theres quite a few trendoids round my neck of the woods wearing em....mainly really young crew, lots of emo kids etc.

im not feeling the blue ones at all....but i can definitely see them coming back in.

I've always had a secret crush on acid washes, we've got this Diesel Paddom in an acid wash in the shop that i've been secretly trying on a couple of times. I wont ever buy them cause diesel goes against my nature but i think the wash is pretty fly

Man! Acid wash. Brings back memories. I remember being a whiny 10 year old when they came out and my Mom bought me a pair of raw denim 'no name' $20 jeans that was 3 sizes too big instead. She said something along the lines of, 'I ain't paying $100 for a pair of used jeans you'll grow out of next month. Go put your own wears on these, you lazy #$%^."

I just came across a brand called Kill City that makes acid washed jeans in various colours (red, purple, blue, black, etc) in modern skinny fits ... they look nice, think i might pick up a pair.

what companies make nice straight leg acid washed jeans? Nothing too slim. Im looking for something that fits like acne max or apc cures. My bad if there other acid washed threads but I couldn't find them.
