alot of the better artiists in the NYC area will be booked for 3-6 months in advance

especially at some of the better studios like adorned and invisible

cant hurt to try and call and get an appointment though.......

that's what i'm afraid of :/. i hope having a "last minute cancellation" opportunity.

do u think it would be easy to get an appointment? i'd like to get something while i'm there but i won't be there for too long

Hmmmm... I can recommend you my other artist, Tom Yak, formerly of New York Adorned as well. He's inking me next Wed. You can do a walk in but only on Saturdays. He's kick ass..the only thing is that it's a train ride to Jersey. But if you go there very early...you should be fine.

very very nice!

when are you getting your "carpe diem" tattoo done? before or after your Koi tattoo? are you gonna save the sparrows for last? i think your tattoo would look dope with a little tribal frame around it, that would really make it pop.

I hate these kinds of arguments... Koi & Sparrows? So now all tattoos with any history are played? That's just fucking stupid. For some people tradition is the whole point. We're not talking about CWGs with dolphin's on their ankles.

Lol, same people still bitching and whining about traditional tattoos... Annoying little fucking bitches.

I finally got the last touch ups done to my dragon piece, thank god I'm finished with that. I'll be starting the phoenix piece sometime in January/February.

My artist and I are good buddies, each session is $200 and it's always 3.5-4 hours long. I tip $50 every time.

yo how much is the norm to tip tat artists?

15%... or just toss em a $20 regardless... or...?

i have no idea really

id say it depends on how good it looks and how much you liked the dood. people that rub me the wrong way always get tipped shitty and i used to work in a restaurant (ie- i tend to tip very well most times since)

This is all I have for now. Starting a business put it on hold for now. They're peonies. We're doing a mix design of peonies and rocks. The other arm will have different set of florals and rocks.
