haaay, we have the same pot, it's chez 70s!

my girl and i made quenelles de brochet inspired by tour d'argent, a quenelle of ocean prawns, light and fluffy served with a rich stock of prawns & snapper, blanketed with velouté and topped with gruyère, lightly grilled until golden brown.

duck ragu rigatoni, which wasn't the best choice as the huge rigatoni needed a heavier, stickier sauce to 'fill' the pasta.

Last night. Tasted much better then it looks. Slow cooked beef stew(w/ homegrown potatoes) and biscuits(w/ homegrown). Tweaked a red lobster biscuit recipe to my tastes.

Cooked dinner for my girlfriend. I made spicy venison meatballs with a venison sauce over organic whole wheat fettuccine. Topped with fresh parmesan. It was so fucking good. The meatballs were a little too spicy for her taste.

Watching the Bourdain episode in the Philippines, I'm left shaking my head at how terrible it was. People that we're taking him around, might've lost the plot.

I think the charm of eating in Manila is that you can almost have anything you want, any time. Given that you're willing to wade through the twilight traffic.

Mister Kebab at 4:30am. A cold beer with friends.

First time at this place, which had a pretty extensive menu. I opted for the beef and brains, never a bad choice. Not photographed though was the amazing sizzling lamb, that had everyone raving. Maybe next time.
