Post the recipe... my friend would go nuts for lembas.

Home-made Lembas

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups of flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 8 tbsp cold butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar (less if you want it less sweet)
  • 2 tbsp honey (if you want, take out the sugar and throw in a bit more honey)
  • 2/3 cup of milk (or as much as needed for a workable dough)
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • (optional: 1-2 tbsp of lemon zest)

Directions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl
  2. Add in butter in chunks (pinching it off or cutting off little bits) and knead it into the mixture until the texture is crumby
  3. Add sugar and honey and mix
  4. Add lemon juice
  5. Add milk slowly, stirring as you do
  6. Roll dough out to 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick
  7. Cut out 3 inch squares and score them in an "X" across the top
  8. Bake at 425°F for 10 minutes or until the top is firm and the sides are golden
  9. Eat as you travel to Mount Doom

PLUS RAPE PLEEZ!!!111!!1

those are japanese, i am not a japanese myself, but i do study it, i am pretty certain the big fonts are "peanut butter" which is pi-na-tsu ba-ta in japanese pronunciation, and the small fonts are creamy. hope i am correct~

How do you make your ricotta? what acid do you use? and why is it so sweet?

i WISH i could make my own ricotta (maybe you can . . .?)

no this is from a pizzeria in São Paulo.

it was "sweet" not in a sugary way, but in a "fresh milk" sort of way, if that makes any sense. try getting your hands on some good unsalted ricotta sometime and i think you'll know what i mean.
