Thanks for the rep bro and yeah its just start'n to break in. The Werber is looking incredible in person too.

So how the 422 on your end? I'll bet she looking BEEEEUTIFUL.

Have you posted any pics of the rickson?

Yeah, the Werber looks good too, I dont know how you get so much wear in so quickly.

My Monarch hasn't been worn so much as you would notice, about 30 times over last autumn/winter. Will try and put more time into it this year. There is some very minor wear, but i'm in no rush. Got my whole life ahead of me to enjoy it! And it is Beautifull...

No pix posted as yet of the '42 BR, but will try and get hold of the GF's DSLR soon and have a pic-fest.

I really lived in my Monarch for the first year, I didn't have a sheepskin form a couple years back until Feb of this year so I would layer up and thus the leather stretched a bit and all the beer also makes it a bit snug around the mid section as you can see by the grain (LoL)

On the Werber I cheated a bit. Some water and a dryer on low heat.

I REALLY need help, justifying this purchase...

Schott A-2, with removable vest liner and fur collar. $200.

Yes, I understand the price of a new Schott, but for one that I believe is made in the 80s (since the jackets didn't have the white tag with an American Flag and size, up until then,) I want to know if it is a good-deal. It fits perfectly, compared to my other A-2. The ability to have both fur collar or non, is awesome, since the one I have doesn't have that option.

Thanks all.

Love that late forties/early fifties U.S.N. stencilling, nearly had that applied to the collar of my M-422 but in the end went for the authentic US in black.

Great line up Airfrog, you got it all covered !

.

Thanks Dr H. It took a few years and a lot jackets to get it to this but I think I'm pretty happy with the line up and they all look great with LVCs.

Just pulled these babies out and forgot how good they looked. Goodwear Monarch 422 and the 39 Werber.

The collar on the 422 is getting lighterand some of the grain is becoming way more pronounced.

The Monarch M-422 looks great. I love when the mouton get's that color. How long does it take? What color did it start as, dark brown?

Its gotten lighter. Not photographed in the same light but heres what it looked like new. Its almost 2 years old now. The new photo is actually much closer to the actual color of the jacket too.

Allen, thanks for your help. I just pressed the button.

The item in question might not be as stellar as some of those seen, but it's a step up from what I have. Ordered while the alcohol from my recent birthday party is still in my system...

What did you get Paul?

Paul if the one I had was one size larger I'd still have it. Congrats. Great price and I think you are really gonna like it.

Hey Paul the 1901s I just scored are from 08. Is that the same year as the ones that you have? The ones that i had before were from much earlier. The leather patch on the ones I just scored is that kinda plasticy coated leather that they were using in 08. Not near as nice as the leather patches from this years LVCs. Looks to be the same denim I had on my 1917s and my 1880s.

You didn't want the ones I put by for you then? The lush dark blue pair from '04? I'll stick em on greedbay.

Ah, forget that jacket. Bought a Lost Worlds Dubow G1 from aeroleather. Now they tell me it was sold already but they forgot to update their site. Grrr.

Allen, if you see anything cool in a 38 chest, do let us know.

My 1901 are from 2003; took me about five years to get some decent wear into them, as they were my summer jeans

Thanks.:D

Is that just me or Goodwear never reply their e-mails EVER? I e-mail them couple times, they never reply to me.....

John GW is a one man show matey so he's usually a little slow to answer emails as he's also making jackets. Also he's just returned from a trip about a day or so ago so I imagine he'll get back to you soon. Trust me man, it's well worth the wait!

Dr H I totally spaced it out. DOH. I actually forgot all about them. CRAP. Sorry bro.

Dont worry mate, they're not goin anywhere.

They are made with the same denim as Paul's '03 pair, and the indigo is heavy and comes off on your hands. Always thought your 'wear 'em dry' method would do them justice.
