Sure, with a 1.8 opening, if you don't do the focusing right, your depth of field is so low that you... are basically blurred. I'm sure you'll do great things with all of this. btw, great value for the money this 50mm f1.8.

Errr, try this homie. Do 1/30th at f8, and manual focus on the back rail. You should be okay then.

worm the 1.8 might be tempting to use way open but id close it a bit especially outside where you have all the light in the world, its pretty much impossible to get a sharp picture with it before f/4 even if you focus well.
