okay so my brother's girlfriend is paying me to write two essays for her. one of them i can do real fast (comparing poems), the second is a bit more effort because i have to search through heaps of text (comparing two characters of a play, which i've already read/seen). the question is how much to charge her. 5 pages double spaced. i'm not in the business of ripping people off, but i do quality work and it's a recession.

$20 a page seems fair. $30 if you think you write really well.

if it were me though, I'd charge $50 a page.

not because I have any desire to rip anyone off. I just hate writing that much.
