gotta say that the quality on that belt was tip top, but it was way too short. with the belt at the 36" hole, there was about .25" coming through the tack.

make some longer ones! come thru!

So I ordered a untanned belt on thursday and was just wondering how fast you guys ship out after an order?

Also,should I oil it or anything when it arrives or just wear it?

Just size up when you choose your belt size.

i ordered a 34-38 and it had barely any left to put through. the holes were punched correctly, but on a belt that was too small.

i was bummed out since these guys are cranking out a really solid product, but ended up selling it after zero correspondence from their end.

It would depend on the size. Each belt is cut to order.

Each belt is cut to a specific size. We do sizes 30 - 38. You must have got a 34. I'm not sure man. Apologies for the sizing mishap.

there's been a couple people asking about measurements, so here's the definitive way to figure out what size to order.

1. DON'T order based off the size denim you wear - as we all know, sizes vary from brand to brand.

2. DO go try on a couple belts, or look at what size you currently wear. All belt companies size their belts the same way....so try on a couple to see what size works best.

Here's how belts are graded for size - the MEASURED size from the middle hole to where the leather folds over itself is 2 inches longer than the STATED size. For example, a size 34 belt is 36" from the middle hole to the fold. This extra 2" accounts for the thickness of material.

So I got my untanned belt and key loop earlier this week and this stuff is awesome.Good quality leather and great fit.All of you thinking abut buying...I would go for it.Also Sam and Kixslf were very helpful.

Just wanted to bump this thread to let everyone know that Sam at hecklewood has been extremely helpful and cooperative. There was a sizing mixup but they offered to exchange the belt at no extra cost, they're paying for shipping and throwing in an extra buckle as a gift. They're really great guys and I got a really great belt.
