Getting the biggest size tires (and the cheapest) I can..so probably some cheap 700x35 tires and taking a drill + a bunch of contruction screws to them. Using duct tape as a protective layer between the tire + tube.

There is a rider in Berkeley who rides a single speed conversion with yellow deep v's brakeless. He fucking kills it and can manual for blocks consistently.

On the hub, theres its threaded on two sides.

My rear wheel was one of those pre built ones because I needed a bike ASAP so I can get to work.

One side, its a single speed, the other, its fixed gear. There is a lock ring, or else the cog wont even be on at all.

What I could do, if needed in the future, which I hope doesnt happen, then for sure I will have to pull a Ted Shred... is I could take OFF the freewheel cog, and put on a lock ring, and attach a fixed gear cog on that.

i think the stem looks like ass regardless of who's name is on it. no one has that stuff becasue barely any was made and everything cost twice what it does normally. $200 for the bars? no thank you.

i'd get the jaguar because its a quality seatpost with some solid looking guts. the only thing hotter is a thomson industrial design wise.

No dude, I think you are confusing something.

On a flip/flop hub you have a track side (for cog + lock ring) and on the other side is the freewheel, w/o threads for a lock ring.

So unless you have a fixed/fixed hub, you'd be running a COG on the freewheel side w/o a lock ring.

I priced out a front deep v w/ a dimension front hub and it comes to $131.20..Kind expensive, no?

i ordered a wheel off prowheelbuilder.. hella lagged, but when it finally came, it was sweet. solid, bombproof.

i got gold nonmachined deep v 3X to surly fix/fix about 150.

the wait was a whore, but it was worth it.

fucken.. last friday (halloween CM) right after the crooked section of lombard, the hill right after, i got too excited and started heading down, and right when i went over the crest, i realized i only had one foot clipped in and i was struggling to try to get my right foot in, while simultaneously skidding with only my left foot every rotation

skids sounded like shhhhhhhht shhhhhhht shhhhhht shhhht shht shht shht sht sht sht

till it was picking up too fast and i had to ted shred that shit. goin hella fast. ted shred skids...
