Last night I was drunkenly talked into going to a last minute school party at a bar. I didn't have a costume, so I was pressed for ideas. Whenever people asked me what I was supposed to be, I just muttered "...going to the bathroom...." and walked off briskly. Most people seemed kind of offended, but a few found it hilarious. I think next time this happens I'm going to carry around a newspaper or some other reading materials to give it that more considered touch.

Edit: I only went for open bar and titties, so don't give me that 'spirit of Haloween' shit.

Hit up Ghostship in SF Sat night as RiFF Raff...shit was super fun. A handful of people got it and took pics w me, stoked they knew. People went all out on their costumes. Not recalling much of the night, but I know the sun was coming up when we got back to the hotel.
